@AHC, But after running, it does reduce a bit. ASS guy is saying that diesel cars normally have little more engine oil than petrol ones. Not sure if it is like that, then dip stick should be designed differently for petrol and diesel.
Thanks for the reference. I will drain 200 ml if possible.

that's because the oil runs in the engine and only after some time the oil comes back to the pan. yeah i think you should. i read on another forum that he put extra engine oil in his car which caused severe malfunction ( pistons etc went kapoot) and he didn't change the oil on recommended interval.

UPDATE:

Today I took the car to Trident Hyundai again, but not to Kalyan Nagar but the K R Puram center. I was not feeling comfortable driving the car between 1200 1500 rpms as I can hear some mild vibration and hum kind of sound. The guy told everything is absolutely normal and the car is in top shape. Then I insisted to drain the excess engine oil. To which he initially said it's not a problem with engine oil level but later obliged and drained 250 mls of engine oil. To my surprise now the car feels more smooth and free, though the vibration is still there but reduced considerably. He also said, after short drive, that suspension is fine and no issue with it.

Car is now 11300 KMs on ODO with fuel average of 15kmpl in city traffic and 19-20 kmpl on highway drives.

What's the on road price without the discounts ? I won't suggest the verna now. Facelift is coming in 2-3 months. You should get around 90k discounts in verna , around 60k if there is no exchange of car.

How come the clutch setup was replaced under warranty ? I believed that under extended warranty, wear and tear parts are not covered.
Was there anything wrong with the front wheel bearings?

Thank you Myth! How's your Verna?

Clutch was producing sound since 4K kms. As the car was only 21K kms run, they agreed to change under warranty. Not sure if they have really changed it not. But car is smooth now and the slippage sound is no more there. There was a mild humming sound used to come from the wheel. Last year right front was changed ans this year left one. When I asked how come bearing are getting damages at such a low mileage, they say it could be potholes. Not sure if they are changing the parts or just claiming from waranty and fleecing Hyundai.

My Verna is doing well. 33k+ kms now. 3 years and 6 months old.
Just the regular servicings so far. Using shell 5w40 full synthetic oil since 3k kms. So far so good.

Do rotations and alignments every 6 months to confirm the problem. This might also reduce or normalize the damage across all tires.

Its not easy fooling hyundai with false warranty claims. From what i heard, it goes through 2 layers of inspection and approval within the dealership and then another 2 by HMIL at Blore/Chennai. The defective part is sent to these locations for actual physical verification. In case they suspect a false or insufficient reasons for the claim, HMIl does not reimburse the dealership with the cost of the part.
