I used to do in excess of 600kms through three states at a stretch when I was in Law School and that too almost every month. Never felt too tired and my 800 was a non A/c as well.

This more or less depends how you plan up the journey. Naturally, continuous long drive can be tiring in any car. All I’m afraid about the Maruti 800 is its minuscule dimensions and lack of basic safety equipments. But then, the small dimensions are a positive on its own way if it comes to manoeuvre it in the congested areas. Anyways nice kick start, Prateek. You need to post some pictures first in order to build up the excitement here.

I have some great respect for the 800. My highway driving started with this car. Have taken it (Non AC) to the lofty heights of Darjeelin / Pelling / Gangtok through some very unfriendly steep routes. Taken it to foreign land in the beautiful heights of Bhutan (Paro / Thimpu). Crossed rivers in North Bengal Forest. Driven it to the jungles of Hazaribagh and the dpths of the open cast coal mines of TISCO near Ranchi.

Have moved on from the 800... but it remains ever so close to my heart

@ Prateek, waiting for pics and rest of TL
