Toyota Kirloskar sold 8,745 units in Feb 2022, registering a 19% MoM growth. The company had recorded domestic wholesales figures of 14,075 units in February 2021 and 7,328 units in January 2022.
Toyota sold a total of 17,131 units in March 2022, making it the highest ever domestic sales in a month since July 2017. It also clocked wholesales of 1,23,770 units in FY 21-22, opposed to 78,262 units in FY 20-21.
Toyota Kirloskar sold 15,085 units in April 2022 opposed to 9,600 units in April 2021, registering a 57% growth. It also achieved a major milestone of clocking cumulative wholesales of over two million units since inception.
Toyota sold 16,500 units in June 2022, registering a growth of 87% over wholesales in June 2021. It also clocked a 26% growth in cumulative wholesales from Jan to June 2022, compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
August 2022: Toyota India sales grow 17%; Reports wholesales of 14,959 units
Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported wholesale volumes of 14,959 units in the month of August 2022, up 17% year-on-year. The company had reported sales of 12,772 units in the same month last year. Numbers though were down compared to July 2022 when the company posted its highest ever monthly sales of 19,693 units. The company also reported a sales growth of 68% in the April-August 2022 period as compared to 2021.
Toyota Kirloskar sold 13,143 units in October 2022 (opposed to 12,440 in October 2021). The cumulative wholesales from April - October 2022 witnessed 56% growth compared to the same period last year.
Toyota Kirloskar sold a total of 11,765 units in November 2022 compared to 13,003 units in November 2021. From April to November 2022, the brand has registered a growth of 31% in wholesales.
Manasi Tata will take over as the Vice Chairperson of Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts with immediate effect, following the untimely demise of Vikram Kirloskar.
Toyota Kirloskar has inducted Tadashi Asazuma and Swapnesh R. Maru as new Directors in the board w.e.f 19th January 2023.
Tadashi Asazuma currently holds the position of Executive Vice President and heads Sales, Service & Used Car function. He has worked for Toyota in Japan and regions like Middle East.
Swapnesh is currently serving as the Executive Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer. His experience includes a stint at Toyota Daihatsu Engineering & Manufacturing Co., Thailand.
