August 2022: Toyota India sales grow 17%; Reports wholesales of 14,959 units
Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported wholesale volumes of 14,959 units in the month of August 2022, up 17% year-on-year. The company had reported sales of 12,772 units in the same month last year. Numbers though were down compared to July 2022 when the company posted its highest ever monthly sales of 19,693 units. The company also reported a sales growth of 68% in the April-August 2022 period as compared to 2021.

- Toyota India has announced its total wholesales for the CY 2022 at 1,60,357 units, opposed to 1,30,768 units in CY 2021.
- This marks a growth of 23% in CY 2022, making it the company's highest wholesales in the last 10 years in India.
- The best ever wholesales earlier clocked by Toyota India was in the year 2012 with a total sales of 1,72,241 units.
- During the month of December 2022, the company sold 10,421 units, compared to 10,834 units in December 2021.
