Toyota Etios Diesel Now Officially Launched

Another exciting launch ahead. Come September and India will be witnessing the much awaited release of Etios in Diesel avatar. According to Autocar India, Toyota Kirloskar will bring it with 1.4 Turbo Diesel which is the same unit as seen on the Altis but it will come without VGT technology, hence producing fairly less out put of 75 BHP. The Etios Diesel is expected to be costlier by a Lakh or so.

I was thinking today that what is happening with Toyota's diesel and here is the news
It needs to be seen how the handling of this engine turns out to be. But being a toyota, it surely will engage many buyers.

Both Etios and Etios Liva Diesel are coming ?

We are confirmed only about the Diesel in sedan right now. But with the increasing competition and demand for Diesel hatchbacks, Liva Diesel should not be far. On its launch, Sandeep Singh stated that Toyota Kirloskar will study the market first before launching Liva Diesel in India.

IMO Toyota Etios diesel will turn out to be a winner. It might over run Vento or Dzire, but that needs to be seen.

It is properly priced and with Toyota's badge, consumers will be lapping it up. Although marketing needs to be spot on

Etios Diesel will get bookings around 30000 in the very first month of launch.

I expect the mileage would be more than 24Kmpl considering Altis Diesel gives 21.7 KMPL.
