AFAIK only the 1st prototype TX-01 had 7.2Kw battery. The last two TX04 & TX-05 had 4Kw. The battery details (number of cells, Amperage, packing units) are not given so not much can be deduced about charging time. If the 80% charging time is 1 hour with home charger obviously the capacity can't be high.
In any case since the Prebooking is free and Bike will hopefully be delivered next year after the factory starts manufacturing after funds come in and they appoint workers, there is no harm in booking and waiting for a year or more. May be they will bring out a better battery pack by then !

Yes,You're right. They messaged me that it is damn close to production variant,But it's the final prototype. All testing was done and they were satisfied with the with the outcome.Ofcourse,80% Charge on 1 one hour for a 7.2kWh Battery sounds like the capacity isn't high.Pre-Booking is free and the bike will be delivered next year. They say it will start deliveries on January 2017.They're said to have TD Bikes available within December on 5 Major Cities - Chennai,Mumbai,Kolkata,Banglore and Delhi

I don't think they will have a better battery pack by then though.

More official Tork T6X Details reviewed by Founder and CEO of Tork,Mr.Kapil Shelke during an Interview with OnCars.in

Tork T6X - India's First Indigenous Premium Electric Motorcycle: In Conversation with Kapil Shelke | Latest Car News & Live Updates at OnCars.in

Some Highlights :

1) Tork T6X Top-speed revealed - 127 Kmh/r.Fantastic,Though I think it will take
forever to reach. So that 'Engineered for 100 KMHR Cruising Speed' kind of reveals
that the Bike was thoroughly R&D'd at 100 KMHR

2) The customer will get his or her own special charging set up installed at his place
by the company’s client.100 Charging Outlets per city is the goal set to
achieve. This is also awesome that they will give Special Charging to the
Customer.I would say their main focus for providing Chargers, should be out on the
Highways.Charging Outlets every 50 KMs would be great.

3) Though Tork has not approached the Government till now,The Government is
offering a subsidy of INR 29,000 on electric two-wheelers - Confirmed [clap]
Awesome ! Meaning with all the On-road costs,We will be able to get the bike
under ex-Showroom Price

4) The cities that the Tork T6X will be available in its initial phase will be Delhi, Pune
and Bengaluru. The next three cities that will be a part of our expansion are
Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. They will be covering the major metro cities in
the next two to two and a half years [cry] Quite a long time,If you ask me.Not a
surprise considering they are a start-up.I hope they come to Chennai next year
early,Atleast before March-end 2017

5) They will be setting up their own distribution network for the first three cities,
which will be called Tork Experience Zone. They also have plans for delivering the
Tork T6X at his or her doorstep. But that is only after a customer gets satisfied with
the motorcycle at the Tork Experience Zone.I hope that doesn't take too long.

Hope they get it right and launch it in Chennai early 2017.I would buy this bike instead of the RTR 200 and the Pulsar AS,RS and NS 200s !

Saw this bike on test near Ukkadam a few weeks ago. Was running with black stickering and looked like any other bike. After staring at it for 2 minutes mysteriously, I realised this didn't have any kind of exhaust or engine noise. That's when I took notice.

Tork Kratos Electric Motorcycle gets new Base variant at Rs 42.5k less than before

tork-kratos-urban-launched-in-india-768x432.jpg

Pune-based 2W EV maker Tork Motors has introduced a new model in its lineup. Called Tork Kratos Urban, it sits below Kratos R and forms the new base model for the brand. There is a reduction in performance and range with the base model. But the price is welcoming at Rs. 1,67,499 (ex-sh).

Ever since the reductions in FAME II subsidy, we have seen EV makers take a step back and re-evaluate their product positioning. Now that the price safety net from the FAME II scheme is reduced drastically, 2W EV makers are looking towards inexpensive models to establish a lower price point.

Ola did it with S1 Air and Ather did it with 450S. Tork Motors is following the same approach. The new Urban trim for Kratos R seems to be catering to users for everyday city commutes. The new base Urban trim for Kratos R sits below Kratos R. It brings the affordability factor into the equation. As opposed to Kratos R, Urban trim costs Rs. 42,500 less.
