They could've listed it amongst routine replacement parts and set a service interval, like every 3-4 years. They even got inspection of number plate foam pads in their service chart, but missed out something critical like this.

Ford had a massive recall in US for failing shifter bush, but that was a different design came after this and had a more failure rate.

View attachment 306158

In EcoSport, they ditched the idea of bush and introduced the terminal.

View attachment 306157
It looks like the bush is still inside the shifter fork in yellow picture.
Doesn't look like it's a single piece. It might be more sturdy than before.

The fuel filter assembly.

Made by UFI

2022-08-21 17-34-57.jpg

IN/OUT/Direction of flow clearly marked. No room for error.

2022-08-21 17-35-06.jpg

The filter sits in front of the fuel tank. Got to free up other lines to pull out the filter. All three of them neatly tuck into the clamp.

2022-08-21 17-38-00.jpg

Needed some clean up and extra effort to disconnect the fuel line as it was all stuck with dirt.

2022-08-21 17-40-02.jpg

Installed new filter and fixed everything back in order.

October 2022 - K&N Stock Replacement Filter

Needed replacing air filter before a road trip, but enlightenment came only late night. With all shops shut, called @vishnuvichu for a spare filter in case he had one, but he had was the K&N SRF removed from his Fiesta, which he upgraded with something meaner [evil]. October-November 2022 - Incidents

Brother went for a family trip to Kodai. One section of the road was missing with no warning and most of the vehicles screeching to avoid that. Bad luck, Pony hit hard despite braking. Bottomed out hard and the only visible damage was with right rear skirt. No bent rims or noticeable issue on driving. Skirt was hanging on just one bolt. Asked him to remove it, instead he bought double-sided tape and fixed it.

IMG-20221022-WA0021.jpg

Kit went flying on the highway and not recovered [frustration]

IMG-20221025-WA0000.jpg

After a week, all of a sudden air leaked completely like a tubed-tyre puncture.

IMG-20221108-WA0003.jpg

On inspection, found the tyre also took a hit in the incident.

IMG-20221108-WA0008.jpg

Being an accident damage, there was no scope/hope for warranty and went back to Nayana Tyres to order a fresh piece and he took up the issue and applied for warranty. After a week's wait, Continental honoured the warranty and offered a 40% discount. Fresh stock was shipped to the shop and paid the balance 60%. Inspected other 3 wheels and did alignment and balancing. MRP went up by ₹ 500 from our original purchase price 7 months back, making it ₹ 8,200.00. Had to pay ₹ 4,920.00 from pocket. First ever tyre claim in life.

That is impressive figure. But when you drive on Highways with light foot (say 80 to 90 KMPH) you can extract 20+ mileage(FE). My 15 years old Fiesta(1.6 SXI) still gives me around 19 to 21 as I am now adopted sedate driving style.

Hi,
I noticed in your photos that you are touching the glass part of the halogen bulbs. If your bare fingers touch the glass part of the bulb your finger prints will leave a residue that causes hot spots and premature failure of the bulb. This may explain why many people experience "short" bulb life after fitting replacements.
Ideally use gloves or tissue paper if you have to handle the bulb. If you accidentally touch the glass clean it thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or methylated spirits.
As regards the gear linkage, failure is very common. I have 2 early Ford Focus models with the same bush arrangement. For peace of mind I have used cable ties (zip straps) as a back up to prevent the joint coming apart if the bush fails. When my first bush failed I had to drive 80kms in traffic in 3rd gear !!! Never again.
