The Coimbatore Vizha

Like most of us here know that after moving to NGTAI, Our old forum’s data could not be transferred. So, in an effort to retain some of those valuable posts, I’m adding the pictures of “Coimbatore Vizha” with all due credit to our member and friend “Crazy Cat”.

My favorite of the show is this Oldsmobile sedan of the late 1940's
It had a great presence. (This may be a 1946-47 model. The white wall tyres are prominent.These cars had a 100 h.p. six cylinder engine.It came as sedans, coupes, convertibles and also station wagons. the common types were the Series 76 and Series 78 models, and also as Series 66 or Series 98 Custom Cruiser, Club sedan, Club Coupe and so on. Semi automatic transmission had also just been introduced by GM and they used to offer the Hydramatic drive option on these Olds.)​

Wow!! excellent pics..i first time saw any vintage bus. they look so comfortable than existing buses.

I think that bus must be made for shooting purpose and acts as a caravan for actors!

That bus was actually EVR Periyaar's, a politician. I assume you would know him. He used this Bus to travel around TN for his campaigns. I think it has all the facilities to live one it.

Wow! Is that a Roll Royce Silver cloud? That champagne colour looks absolutely gorgeous on it. I think Rolls has turned out some of the best-looking cars in the history of automobiles...really classy.
