Congrats buddy, Scorpio is truly a very value for money & excellent SUV.

and pio 6050 for 9k

I think 6050 is a very very old model & hence pricing seems on the higher side.

Go for a Pioneer head unit with USB/Aux, go for a JBL 4 channel amp and buy a JBL 12" sub.

For rear speakers, PLEASE have the rear speakers on the rear door (second row) & not on the boot door. If installed on the boot door, they are hardly audible unless you have an amp for them, in that case, you will need 2 amps.

To install speakers on rear door, you will have to cut the door panel, so be careful with the installer, he should be a professional.

Is your Scorpio a 7 seater or 8 seater?

For better advice, specify your budget, you can get better brands.

I had a Scorpio, you can see my setup here.

was eagerly waiting for inputs from you.

actually i have a limited budget something in the range of ~10k as of now.

could you please mention some shops for ICE in mumbai.

all those queries were @ opera house i had inquired today.

was thinking in line of a basic setup like a JBL x333 the JBL C5 and then a sub and an amp.

no one now buys a CD now. a pen drive should do fine right?

also of all shops i could find today only prime @ opera house was vfm even with bill and warranty.

prices from other shops were high even for a grey item. [frustration]

as to your other queries it a seven seater scorp.

most of the shops i inquired in opera house had no idea what dynamat is [anger]

any vfm shops near borivali ?

In such a budget, you wont get HU + Speakers + Amp + Sub.

I would suggest you do a stage wise upgrade with future upgrades in mind.

I have PM'ed you.

I never use CDs, i dont have an iPod, so pen drive it is! But CDs are the best when it comes to SQ (Sound Quality).

as to your other queries it a seven seater scorp.
It means you can fit a sub in between the jump seats, like I did.

most of the shops i inquired in opera house had no idea what dynamat is [anger]
Avoid such shops, go to a pro.

I guess, in 10k, all you can do is buy a decent HU with front components. Later when you save enough, upgrade by adding an amp, rear speakers, sub & if you want, damping.

Choose good wiring, dont fringe on that.

ok then i will limit this this to a HU (JBL x333) [rs. 3,000]

alt HU :pio 3490 UB :[Rs.5000] /pio 1490 [Rs. 3250]

two pairs of speakers (JBL CS-5)[Rs. 1150 x2]

and damping( if required)[no idea]

please fine tune this config if possible

pricing @ prime, opera house with B/W(2 years).

fair enough or again on the higher side?

^ the thing is once things are put in order i doubt anything in it will be changed until it goes kaput.

speaking from the armadas experience.

Dad comes from that school of thought : "if it aint broke, don't change it ".

so if the upgrade does happen it might take another 2- 3 years when i start to earn a decent enough salary

Yes no problem , the damping can wait for 2-3 years. For your current setup it really is not required , just save the money instead.

inquired about sunfilms @ 3M car care in borivali.

RE 35 +CS70 costs a whopping 13K + [surprise]

thinking of going with garware ice cool and or other substitutes

even v-kool which was supposed to be expensive than 3M was quoted me for 8.1k for vb-50 and vb-60

What HU have you decided? Only component speakers require an amp , normal speakers don't. For 10k budget you can't get amp+comp speakers+HU.

Welcome to Hawk gang buddy.

Wish you miles of Happy & Safe Motoring.

Btw regarding ICE, raj has already answered your query.

My HU is pathetic, with 4 components Hertz serving my purpose, which costed 9k for set of 2.

Thanks mukeshus.
Btw whats your HU buddy?
Set of 2 (2 pairs i suppose) of hertz costed you 9k and they are still pathetic [surprise]

whats your take on the JBL CS-5?
Any alternates in the same price which may be better?
And your take on sunfilms other than 3M?
Vb-50 and vb -60 worth the value at 8k?
Sorry for Too many questions

My HU is Nippon OEM.

Components are not getting enough to their capacity, because of crappy OEM.
Main reason to retain them, will lose steering controls.
No i haven't gone for any ICE installation.
May be raj can give you more insight.

I got free sunfilm from dealer, which was of Garware.

V kool is also a better option , if you are opting for front windshield go for Vkool Day & Night.

As it would help a lot, but i haven't needed it so far.

ok my dealer was charging 3.5 k for garware film and he said you can get better films done from the outside.

i am sure professional installers could use a workaround for you to install your own HU.

current priority is for sunfilms.

have asked them (3M)to reduce their pricing on the sunfilms.

lets see how they fare with a new quote.

else will get those v-kool vb-50 and 70 one installed which were priced for about 8k.
