Re: Tata Tiago Petrol XZ - A Layman's Review: Third Service Update

I cancelled it from KHT motors. They are not willing to give me the GSt price. And also they told the loan disbursement happen to the dealer already. Though I made the agreement but I haven't sign in any stamp paper. How true it is. Now I have go and cancel it. Can anyone tell me what is the procedure to cancel the loan or reprocess the same for different dealer.

Thanks to Akash ji's prophecy, I happened to see this alloy at my dealership and pretty much liked it. It is definitely expensive at 26K and the only reason to get them is to comply with warranty policies should any issues arise with respect to wheels, suspensions etc (I have 4 years extended warranty). If my stock alloys finds a taker for decent price, these will be on my Tiago soon [:)]

Activ Alloy:

Specs:
14X5J = 14" diameter and 5" rim width.
ET43 = Offset value of 43mm.
M and H = I have no idea what these are.

KITE2 stamping and some unknown lines alongside. CHINA stamping is a point of concern [lol].

Some sample images after installation. Note that the two setups are different, they have swapped the left wheels from right. I prefer the forward direction setup.

By swapping left side wheels to right side. Atleast that's what I understood from CRACING's post.

Successfully hard-wired my dash cam on Sunday. Took help from my brother for soldering and routing wire thru A pillar. [:)]

Mini ATM Fuse Tap. The blue pin is cut off and the wire will be soldered to dashcam adapter:

Power adapter 12V to 5V. The ring on the +ve wire will be cut off and soldered to fuse tap:

Soldered fuse tap to adapter along with a nut & ring for negative (ground):

Used 5A fuse for dashcam:

Made use of these empty bolt slots for negative line (ground). These are located on the metal bar above fuse box:

Removed 'A' pillar to route wire from fuse box to roof liner. Three plastic locks secures this panel in place. It also houses the tweeter:

The gap was too small to push the adapter's wire from underneath. We had to push another wire from top and pull the adapter's wire:

All set to be tested. Ideally I should have tested before soldering anything, but missed to do that:

Adapter is stuck to a side panel using 3M double sided tape:

This is the on piece of visible wire, that too when IRVM is removed. Note that the L shaped mini USB pin is facing left as opposed to right side which was shown in the product page. A straight pin would have been a safer bet and looked a lot cleaner:

Special thanks to CRACING for his inputs along the way and for sharing his hard-wire installation earlier in this thread.

Re: Tata Tiago Petrol XZ - A Layman's Review: Third Service Update

How do you find the driveability of this car ?

I am habitual of changing gears at 2k rpm but this car doesnt want to be driven that way. It vibrates a lot if i accelerate even a little in 3rd gear at 30kmph.
If i take it to 30kmph in 2nd gear ( shifting around 3k) then from 20kmph till 30kmph the car jerks a lot.
This doesn't seem like a city car with good low end torque.

Ps : i am not talking about power/bhp.

In my diesel tiago i am changing gears at 1500rpm. Don't care about vibrations as the focus is on mileage & using City mode always.this helps in picking up speed quickly & then coast as much as i can.Car is silent at 40kmph in 3rd gear , 45-50 kmph in 4th gear & 60-70kmph in 5th gear.below this it makes some sound not much.

Dear Murali,
Tank is of 35 liter so 20kmpl means 700kms. Do a tankful & only then you realize actual mileage.It might be higher than 20 if the tankful takes less than 33 litres.

In my car the mid shows 23-23.5 kmpl but actual varies between 19.5-21.5kmpl.

I agree with you about low pickup below 1500 RPM but the jerks in 2nd gear sounds unusual. What is the ODO on the car? I wonder if it has to do with engine run-in?
My city driving is less but when I do, there is always 3 on board so I have to hit 3K RPM quite often, with no jerks.
