Spy shots reveal that 2020 Tiago will borrow some snazzy features from yet-to-be-launched Tata Altroz, and will also get some features which will be seen for the first time in a Tata car. One, is the all new digital instrument cluster,

The leaked photo of 2020 Tata Tiago’s digital instrument cluster features a large digital display for engine rpm and fuel level on either side. There is also real time fuel efficiency bar, odometer, large speedometer in digital, warning light indicators for seat belt, ABS, oil, etc. It also displays the driving mode.
Tiago facelift’s front section comprising headlights and grille is inspired by Tata Altroz that made its debut at 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. It is possible that 2019 Tiago could also borrow other features from Altroz such as body-coloured ORVMs, updated front and rear bumpers, and dual-tone alloy wheels. Interiors could also be updated with new colour scheme, new upholstery, and added equipment such as Harman touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

In line with new safety norms, 2020 Tiago will offer important safety features such as dual airbags, ABS, and EBD as standard across all variants. Other key safety features will include speed alert system, speed sensing door lock, seat belt reminder and reverse parking sensor. 2020 Tiago is also expected to undergo structural changes to meet new crash test standards that come into play from October 2019.

No not a fan of this kind of kwid like digital instrument cluster. its good if its combination of digital and manual. or come up with some thing like hector HD Digital. This looks really bad.

Agree, even I did not like it much. Also I hope they correct the case sensitivity in 'rEFUEL' and at other places in the MID, if any. It is there is Tigor, I suppose when the DTE is less than 30 or so. :tongue:
Not sure if it is there in Tiago too.

Now if you see the cluster, there are big obnoxious white bars on the either side of the cluster. the RPM indicator on the left will go right uptown where the "Here" call out points. Similarly in the red box there will be similar white bars indicating Temperature. Imaging during night driving your instrument cluster giving bright light.

Really very bad design. Wonder if this was effect of doing some costs saving measure and that digital cluster vendor has given it very cheap to Tata over the mechanical one. Whatever it its, this cluster is outright bad. Will appreciate if it is in their truck. Definitely not in the car. Kwid has it, probably celerio may have it, but I don't expect this tacky thing in Tiago.

Purists may not like it. But the people around us are not enthusiasts. I suppose the picture is taken during the self-check period and also a close-up shot. The white LEDs may change colors at their upper limits. Also you can adjust the illumination. In the current Tiago, they removed the separate fuel and temperature gauge and fixed the XT cluster to XZ and XZ+. Better to have something rather than nothing.[;)]

Did anybody notice that speed is 108km/hr,at 4500 rpm??
Is this a diesel or petrol?? This figure is quite high if the car is in top gear.
As is obvious, there is no gear indicator,so cant tell which gear it is in.

Do you also see every other warning lights illuminated?. Dont come to conclusions based on spy pics alone. [;)]

Just before facelift, tata is preparing a mild update for xz+ and xza+ variants of tiago & tigor.

All the confusion is due to the fact that even the digital meter does a full sweeping on startup, just like the present analogue dials.
This picture was captured in between the full sweeping of the dials, hence the confusion.
