When I was searching the market I was told that Yokohama Earth 1 was India specific tyre with Hard compound. It has been discontinued already. It is now replaced by Yokohama Blue Earth tyres which is better in every way.
ZLO is good but very soft and thin tyre. Wears faster.
I observed that continental UC6 was very good albeit heavy.
Goodyear was so rubbish that Ceat was looking superior in comparison. Only name is American otherwise totally crappy.
I think you can safely choose between Michellin and Continental
Please be advised that these views are in reference to 16 inchers for Nexon. You might find differing opinions regarding your car.

It cost me 9500 per tyre.
Michellin tyre stock has vaporised into thin air overnight!! This is because Gov. has banned import. These tyres are made in Thailand and imported from Michellin factory there. This was the last stock available in my city. I grabbed it. So no bargaining etc. Take it or leave it situation going on.
As of now I have not driven even 10 kms so I will give review only when I put some kms on it.

Why is govt. doing such stupidity, Michelin, and all are proven brands. Either they need to rise Indian brands to that standard. Even Bridgestone isn't available seems.

Michelin tyres for my Nexon: Initial driving impression.
Drive is super silent and soft. Suspension noise is very much muted now. Good thing is that tyres are silent on the concrete highway too. Many silent tyres on bitumen roads suddenly become noisy and boomy as soon the concrete patch starts. This problem is solved with these Michelins. They are equally silent there. Because of this now I hear engine noise clearly in the cabin.
They are very sticky and attach to road like leech. This property has improved the braking too.
In this age of hatchbacks and compact sedans, where everyone is modifying cars and making the car hot hatch and announcing upgrade and upsize to massive 195/55 r15 etc etc, I want to thank Tata that they have provided proper sized tyres 215/60 R16 on the Nexon. Just to give you a perspective :Older 2 tonne safari had 235 tyres. Scorpio and XUV always had 235 tyre. And far smaller in dimensions Nexon has 215 !!

Yes. Nexon is one of the cars which came with proper shoes. Though I wish Brands would do away with the Low profile Fad coming on modern units. They are unsuitable with Harsh Indian Conditions. A profile of 60 is about as low as I could stand. I would wish for 65 or 70.
My Safari 4x4 has 235mm tyres on 16 inch Rims. Does it mean small puny tyres Compared to modern cars having 17 or 18 inch Rims? Absolutely not.
The answer is a massive profile of 70 on Safari tyres. The Rolling dia of Safari 16 inch and XUV 17 or 18 inch is the same. They have just Crushed the profile (Rubber Height between Rim & Tread) area.

Alerted and scared with the recent rusting issues and findings of J.Ravi and allhyundaicars, I removed the battery and its connections and went about inspecting the battery tray of my Nexon. Sure enough rusting had started here too. Hopefully I have caught up in time as mostly area around bolt is involved.. I removed all the rust and cleaned the area. Maybe I will paint it too.
