3. Charging 100% takes 8-9 hours. Fast charging option available to 80% in hour
4. Will have liquid cooled ECU
5. Will sport a Digital/ analog dashboard similar to that of Harrier or altroz.
6. Will have R N D S modes ie Reverse, Neutral, Drive and Sport modes. Operated by the rotary knob present in the current Nexons.
7. flat bottom steering wheel with cruise control button
8. dual headlamp type of DRLs something like BMW
9. Regenerative braking for more mileage
10. over 30 connected car technologies.
11. Battery and motor with 8 year warranty
12. To be available in 2 trims levels.
13. Priced between 15 to 17 lacs.
14. Motor producing 129HP/254NM torque

Now not sure whether the car was floored or not, but I guess the real numbers not yet available.

Now with these features, I believe that the nexon will be truly the first affordable and yet highly aspiring Electric vehicle we have on Indian roads.

Creating a new thread since we have Nexon Electric details posted in the nexon thread itself. Both being different cars, I felt we should have a separate thread for Nexon Electric.

@MODS : Note to MODs can you please move all the Nexon Electric related post in the nexons thread to this single thread?

Tata Nexon EV interiors leaked ahead of debut

tata-nexon-ev-interior-0.jpg

The interiors of the Tata Nexon EV have been leaked ahead of its debut that is scheduled to take place on 19 December. The spy image reveals the rotary knob for the transmission, unlike the gear lever seen on the conventional ICE powered model.

The Tata Nexon EV will come with a rotary knob for the transmission, with modes including R, N, D and S denoting Reverse, Neutral, Drive and Sport respectively. Another highlight of the interior is the cruise control button on the steering wheel, a feature which is not currently available on the ICE powered variants of the Nexon. Also on offer will be a flat-bottom steering wheel.

Comprehensive summary of the Nexon EV, you covered every aspect.
I'm intrigued by the Ziptron technology being used and promoted, a phrase like Revotorq for the diesel mill, i suppose.
Thanks @vikyjoshi

Benefit of Electric Vehicles.
Screen Shot 2019-12-19 at 1.23.39 PM.png

This means Nexon EV cab may get subsidy of 3.2Lakhs + 1L subsidy on OTR price.
Private buyer potentially get around 2.5Lkhs subsidy

Very good of Tata motors to pass on the subsidy to the buyers.

Floating roof with blackening of the C pillar has made the car look more squarish and boxy. The front bonnet seems raised and the bumper looks more squarish. That is now looking less coupeish. That is a welcome feature. The chrome strip on the grill also seem to make the car more bold. If something could have made with the rear roof line then it would have made the car look boxy.
