Tata Motors is all-set to establish separate dealerships to retail its Electric Vehicles under the Tata Passenger Electric Mobility marque. The company will finalize the design and location in the first quarter of FY24.
  • Tata Motors will initially setup ten exclusive electric vehicle dealerships in top-ten Tier-2 cities in the next six to twelve months.
  • First dedicated showroom will be introduced in National Capital Region. It’s said to be large, plush-looking and better than Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa outlets.
  • The dealer principles have already been shortlisted and will commence the construction once the layout specifications are finalized by Tata Motors.
  • The average cost of setting-up a 6,000 - 7,000 square feet showroom in a satellite city ranges anywhere around ₹1-crore as per dealer estimates.
  • Starting this April, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle outlets will be billing the electric vehicles to a separate entity called Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, which recently acquired Ford's Sanand Plant.
  • The dealers will also be required to have separate inventory funding for both the business. The company aims to double its Electric Passenger Vehicle sales to 1,10,000 in fiscal FY24. (Source: Link)

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility has launched the exclusive EV stores in Gurugram at Sector 14 and Sohna Road. These stores will be open to public from January 07, 2024.
  • These showrooms will embody the core philosophy of ‘Move with Meaning’ and offer an inviting and immersive space for the EV community.
  • All major materials utilized in the showroom are either recycled or recyclable, with many of them certified with sustainability from global green certifiers.
  • There was an added emphasis on locally sourced materials while building the showroom, significantly reducing reliance on long-distance, high-emission transportation.
  • The second focal point is community, as this space has been created for shared moments. Be it offering coffee from Blue Tokai, catch-up with fellow EV adopters, or attending events in the EVOLVE community.
  • The third pillar in this design centers on technology. Thoughtfully integrating digital elements, the showroom crucially aims to support and not overwhelm its visitors.
  • The screens provide testimonials from current owners, addressing concerns and myths around EVs, customization options for customers and personalized welcomes for families arriving to receive delivery of their EVs.
