The first edition of Tata Motors Full Throttle Trail, an extreme off-roading property for Tata Motors SUV owners, concluded successfully at Taj Chandigarh. The trail was flagged off at 10:00 am from Taj Chandigarh andover 35 Tata Motors vehicles participated in the activity.
Participation of vehicles from the Tata Motors stable included the Tata Safari, Tata Xenon, Tata Sumo and Tata Aria, in both 4x4 and 4x2configurations. Each vehicle represented the toughness and ruggedness of Tata Motors vehicles. Customers from in and around Chandigarh attended the trail, maneuvering challenging routes and the rugged terrain. The track had been prepared specially for this off roading activity.
Speaking on the occasion, Anand Totla, Regional Manager, PCBU North1, Tata Motors Ltd. said, “We are delighted to host the first edition of the Tata Motors Full Throttle Trail in Chandigarh, and are overwhelmed with response and participation received from Tata Motors customers from in and around the city. Through off-roading events like this, customers not only have the opportunity to go off-roading but also experience the tough and enduring nature of Tata Motors SUVs.”
The trail comprised of various surfaces like slush beds, hills, bumpy courses, sand beds and many more. The trail was spread over two different locations near Mullanpur and it posed some exciting challenges to the participants. The participants needed to complete the trail within a maximum stipulated time, to qualify as finishers. Overall it was a very exciting experience for all the participants. Through this initiative, a total of 21 trails’ have been planned over the next few months, with each course being planned to exhibit the thrill, ruggedness, toughness and handling of Tata Motors SUV’s, in off-road conditions. Off-road enthusiasts have the opportunity to not only experience their SUVs, but will also familiarise themselves with some serious off-road driving techniques, through a quick get away, in the proximity of their respective cities.

Tata Motors Full Throttle, the motorsports division of Tata Motors, has launched Blaze de Rajasthan - a new event for the off roading enthusiasts. It’s a competitive one-day off-roading rally. The first iteration of the rally will commence and culminate in Jaipur from 9th June to 10th June 2012, covering 300 km.
Tata Motors Blaze de Rajasthan rally has three categories – 2WD, 4WD and Women’s team, with participation open to all makes. All motoring enthusiast, professionals, freshers and navigators are invited to participate in this challenging activity. This action packed activity is based on TSD format - time, speed and distance; making the rally competitive and adventurous.
The terrain of Blaze de Rajasthan will encompass in-city drives, hilly tarmac sections, sandy trails, an extreme trail and tracks specially made to test the navigation skills of participants. Thar Motorsports is the program partner, for planning and execution of this event with Tata Motors organising all logistical, medical and service support for these expeditions.
Tata Motors Full Throttle recently launched two other off-roading properties, for owners of Tata Motors SUV’s, under the Full Throttle banner, called Tata Motors Full Throttle Experience and Tata Motors Full Throttle Trails. Full Throttle Experience is an off-roading expedition which spans over a number of days, with the first expedition being flagged off from New Delhi on June 22. A total of 6 Experience Expeditions have been planned over the year. Full Throttle Trails are half-day off-roading events, with a total of 21 trails.
Tata Motors launched the Tata Motors Full Throttle in February 2011, as a platform for steering the company’s participation in motor sports and allied activities. The platform also helps the company, in organising and synergising all efforts and activities, in the area of motor sports, including development and testing.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jatin Lakra, Head–Marketing-Sumo and Grande, Tata Motors said, "Rajasthan is a popular destination for off-roading and a natural choice for us to hold our first one-day off-roading rally.”

The 1st competitive off-roading motorsports rally, Tata Motors Blaze de Rajasthan organized by Tata Motors, successfully concluded in the Pink City of Jaipur on Sunday, June 10. The day long 300km rally was flagged-off from Hotel Fern, with over 53 vehicles of different makes, competing in a time, speed, and distance challenge. With the rally comprising of three main categories – 4WD, 2WD and Women’s team, the event saw participation from motorsports enthusiasts from all over the country.
Participants from Kashmir, two teams from Kolkata and almost 8 participants from North, South and Western India participated in the event. Participants maneuvered challenging routes and rugged terrains, prepared specially for this off-roading activity with the routes customized in-line with the experience and expectations of participants, ensuring they made the most out of their vehicles.

Really amazing to see a 2 ton+ vehicle like Aria doing dune bashing with ease.It really shows how capable TATA 4X4 system really is!! I for one would love to participate in such events once I get hold of my TATA SUV!!
