Like GM's cashless ownership offer which turned out to be a game changer, I think Karl might be onto something with this package at TATA. If the company offers you 60% buyback, then resale market would immediately pick up for Manza (and probably other TATA vehicles). Out of box thinking I must say and something that might just work.

TATA already has cashless package or AMC contract scheme. This buyback scheme will be real booster.
Agree with you, i guess this concept has come from Mr.Slym he is the one who introduced the cashless service scheme for Chevy products, this buy back scheme will help in increasing customer confidence.

Believe me two of my friends bought Manza Petrol !! and even I am surprised with their decision looking at today's fuel prices. I have asked them the reason, then they said, drive a petrol Manza and you will understand why, then I took a TD of one of the vehicle and really amazed by its response and super silent engine

Gurrala Sir, I agree the petrol drives smooth since it is also FIAT engine. But QJT is no bad. But what about FE. Manza petrol will not give more than 12kmpl where as QJT gives >15kmpl. With base version price difference of 7K even a second standard student can calculate which is more VFM even with Petrol/Diesel prices just Rs 10 apart in future.

Thanks for pointing this out, i had never noticed this price difference before.and you have to appreciate the efforts of TATA on their pricing.where as Swift carries almost 6 digit difference between petrol and diesel variant.

So here it goes, Manza is the second cheapest entry level sedan after its sibling Indigo eCS LS:

Indigo eCS CR4 LS - Rs 570521/-
Manza LS - Rs 597316/-
Swift Dzire Tour - Rs 608606/-
Swift Dzire LDI - Rs 620009/-
Verito D2 - Rs 629642/-
Sail Base D- Rs 640182/-
Etios D4D GD - Rs 693782/-
Honda City Corporate (P)- Rs. 738721/-
Ford Classic 1.4 TDCi CLXi - Rs 748739/-
Linea Active D - Rs 812156/-
Nissan Sunny XL - Rs 845437/-
Rapid Active Plus - Rs 854755/-
Vento Trendline D - Rs 859005/-
SX4 VDI - Rs 865289/-
Renault Scala RXL D - Rs 886000/-
Fluidic Verna 1.4 EX CRDI - Rs 939521/-

So it makes now more Value for money.

All prices for entry level diesel sedans ex-showroom Bangalore BS4 versions.

I think this is first time Manza has undercut the price of Swift Dzire including Tour version.

Imagine if they dropped the Indigo eCS4 prices to ~5L ex showroom and introduced the Manza CS-perhaps with the CS4 engine at 5.5L!-now that would be value for money!-imagine if they had an introductory offer of 5.5 L OTR!

As far as I know , it does not support DVDs. Well, you can play video files though via SD card or USB slots but only when the car is parked with handbrake engaged.

Hope this helps.
