[confused]It's good that tata has changed the door fabric trim to black from biege though I was expecting leather in place of fabric. The biege fabric trim gets dirty within no time. With biege door fabric , club class would have looked kitchen class.

@Raja, is there any change in the size and grip of the cup holders located at the central console? In the present manza, I have not found a low cost bottle which can fit in the cup holder, also bottle tends to fall down while changing AC settings.

I am also intrested to know wheather the tata provided front seat cover comes with the net type bottle holders on its inner side or not?

I was also expecting swelled up door pockets to hold the routine size water bottles on all four doors, also there is lot of space for the same.

Lack of cup/bottle holders for rear passengers would play a real spoiler in a 'club ' class car already praised by us as a rear comfy car.

Just watched Manza club class first drive by SVP CNB show. Some of the high points:

1. Black colour looks beautiful along with silver roof.

2. Alloy design is sunning.

3. New plum interiors with touchscreen looks nice.

4. No mechanical changes, though Italian leather seats add their touch of luxury.

Those who want to catch this review, please watch CNB show at 6:30 pm today on NDTV 24X7.

@ xover , are you sure it's italian leather? Last year ,they had launched 'celebration ' edition with 'leather feel' seat covers.

Duel tone exterior , really indicates tata's seriousness about Manza, keep it up TATAS.

I am disappointed with the new manza, I had expectations about its rear design. Tml designers should have done some changes to its tail lamps position, they should have been a bit down to match with the boot lid or they could have cut short the bootlid itself.

However, manza is a great car. I hope Karl Slym would realise this in future and hopefully we can get a better looking car.

TATA Products are alwayz the best but they don't have a strong control over the dealers. thatz where their problem starts in chennai There is a dealer called VST for TATA MOTORS and the same dealer as INDIA GARAGE for M&M the behaviour of the sales persons is totally different. This is about How the manufacturer controls the dealers.

MANZA is a car

2Times safer comfortable and confident than Honda-Civic,city & Hyundai Verna
10Times comfortable than Fortuner,Polo,Vento

But the piont to noted is its 20-35% less in purchase cost and maintance.

Is there any update regarding the low power 75PS Quadrajet Engine varient. No details in TATA Motors website. But in other forum, they mentioned its available with LS trim.
Because of space and backseat comfort, iam waiting for this 75PS varient or Manza CS. If possible will add Racedynamics DieselTronic Tuning Box to pump up power. Don't want to spend ~9.5lacs for the current model.

@M2G,What is the wit in reducing the power from 90 ps to 75 ps and then adding diseltronics to add up the power.?
Manza cs version is unlikely to to be launched unless they discontinue the good seller indigo ecs or original manza and manza cs if at all launched , it will eatup some sales figure of ecs and original manza too.
Manza Cs launch is only possible if TATA is convinced that it will divert some custemers from its competition such as dzire.

IMO, If tata had any plan for manza cs on the agenda they would not have launched the clubclass at all.

Tata Manza club class review by Autocar:Tata Manza EXL review, test drive | Review | Autocar India

When launched in 2009, the Manza took Tata’s ‘more car per car’ philosophy to an all-new level. Here was a mid-size saloon that was more spacious than cars a couple of steps up the price ladder. While that should have translated to huge sales in a value-oriented market such as ours, the Manza hasn’t been the success Tata had hoped it to be. In a bid to bring it back in the reckoning, Tata has updated the Manza to make it more desirable.

When you open the doors you can immediately tell that enhancing the cabin ambience was the prime focus for Tata. The new range-topping Manza EXL we’ve featured here gets nicely finished leather seats with the Manza name embossed on the headrests. While the large seats don’t improve on comfort, they certainly do add a touch of class to the cabin. Another change is the revised centre console that now houses a touchscreen interface for the audio system, Bluetooth telephony and satellite navigation; a first in this segment. However, the sat-nav didn’t quite give us point-to-point directions as it was supposed to, but that’s something a software update can fix. No complaints about the new automatic climate control system, which helps cool the Manza’s vast cabin effectively.

Tata hasn’t changed any of the mechanicals here, and it can still be had with a 1.4-litre petrol or a 1.3-litre turbo-diesel. We drove the diesel version and, as before, found it a bit sluggish in city driving, with the slightly heavy steering not helping comfort. What we did like, however, was the way the suspension absorbed bumps at city speeds. This, along with the comfy rear seat, make the Manza best suited to the chauffeur-driven.
Prices start at Rs 5.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base petrol version and extend all the way up to Rs 8.8 lakh for the diesel in the EXL trim featured here. With the updates, the Manza holds on to its trump card of space and gives you a little more by way of features across the range. We just wish the Manza took a bigger leap forward in other areas as well.
