Re: TAI Member's Previous Cars And Current Car

Hi,

Can anyone please clarify on masking the registration numbers while posting their cars' photos? I have seen this in many places. I have not done so and don't understand the risk either. If it is for privacy, how it is lost when number is displayed? Sorry if it is a naive question.

Thanks

Let me try and remember. The current mounts are in the signature.

The date of purchase/ownership is mentioned

1. Hindustan 14 (1969)
2. Ambassador (1969)
3. Premier President (1972)
4. Ford Escort Mk. I 1100 (1973)
5. Ford Escort Mk.I 1300L (1974)
4. Ambassador (1976)
5. Premier Padmini Deluxe (1979)
6. Maruti 800 (1987)
7. Peugeot 205 GL (1989)
8. Premier 118NE (1991)
9. Esteem VX (1995)
10,11. Maruti Zen (Regular and AT, 1999)
11. Hyundai Accent GL (2003)
12. Hyundai Santro AT (2005 to date)
13. Honda Civic V AT (2010 to date)

No 12 may be replaced by a Brio S AT very soon.

Thanks Sethu and I know how to edit it but asked why to edit and Vibhor provided the link in which this was already discussed way back in 2010.

Please visit the following link for more information. Hope it should help (http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...ing-registration-number-plates.html#post50799).

Drive Safe,

Thank you Vibhor. But the clarification given in the link is little unconvincing. It is correct to protect the identity of others if you post other's car pics and not our own car's. Anyways, will not drag this anymore.

Thanks again.

Rajvel, hope you also got clarified now.

Vipul I am impressed, Mahindra Aria, Mahindra Storme.[lol]

I am wondering why Mahindra is quite on Storme, as there was a variant Bolero Storm.

Re: TAI Member's Previous Cars And Current Car

First car: Honda Accord (1994)
ODO: sold it at 40,000+ in 1998
Sold in 1998 as it was too big for our needs

2nd car: Toyota Soluna
ODO: last seen was 172,000 kms before selling
was getting long in the tooth and wanted to get a new car. Sold in 2006

3rd car: Honda Civic
ODO: still going on at 78,000 kms
Loving every bit of the ownership of this car. But might not keep it for very long anymore.

4th Car: Mahindra Xylo D2
ODO: nearing 20,000 kms now
Was bought for India and for rough and tough use. So far it is going great guns.
