Suzuki Motor Corporation, has unveiled its new fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift in Germany. The company has debuted the same model which made its debut in the Japanese as well as United Kingdom markets. Most likely, the company will be taking the covers off of the new Swift in India by March-April of this year. The new generation of the Swift gets a completely redesigned exterior as well as interior. It will also sport a brand-new Z-Series engine as well. Some reports have also suggested that the company could bring the hybrid system-equipped Swift to India as well.
Suzuki will be offering the new Swift in the German market with a single powertrain option which will come equipped with a mild hybrid system. The new Swift will feature the new Z-Series 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine. It will produce a maximum power of 83 bhp and come mated to a 12V mild hybrid system. Additionally, the company will be offering the new fourth-generation Swift with manual and a CVT automatic transmission. The company will also be offering the German Swift with All-grip AWD system as well.
The brand-new Swift has undergone an extensive exterior redesign for its fourth generation. The car will get a brand-new front fascia which looks a lot more modern and sharp. It will look aggressive yet classy with the inclusion of a new grille with thick black surrounds. The LED headlights have also become sleeker and now get L-shaped LED DRLs integrated inside. The lower bumper has also changed and it will house the newly designed fog lights, and it will also get a brand-new bonnet as well.
Coming to the side profile, the car will come equipped with a set of new turbine-style 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. This time around, the company has ditched the rear hidden door handles for the more traditional door handles mounted on the rear doors. Apart from this, there will be a strong shoulder line that runs from the front of the car all the way to the rear. Speaking of the rear, the car will also get a newly designed rear including a set of new LED taillights and a new rear bumper. The car will come in dual-tone paint schemes.
Apart from this newly designed exterior, the interior will also boast a brand-new layout. This time around, the new Swift will get a much more premium-looking interior that looks inspired by the outgoing Baleno, Fronx, and Grand Vitara. The main highlight will be the new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen in the middle, and underneath it will be the new sleek-looking rectangular AC vents. The car will also borrow the same automatic climate control buttons from its siblings, and the overall layered dashboard finished in a dual-tone scheme will make it look more modern. The 2024 Suzuki Swift will also get new and more sporty-looking front seats as well. The German spec Swift misses out on the CD changer seen on the Japanese version.
