Congratulations turbodiesel. Amazing colour choice. Is it ok.with you if you can provide the break up of the cost? Also do you have the pricelist for 1.3 as well? How is the turbo lag in 1.6? Is it manageable? May you countless miles with your new ride.

Check Carwale.com for on road prices of various cities.
I read in reviews that 1.6 has some lag and I think one will get used to it after driving for some time.
If you are looking for a new car you can make a new thread.

Thanks for you wishes Arun.

Here's Scross Alpha 1.6 OTR price breakup. I bought it in kochi, so prices may differ in other cities.

Ex showroom - 1254652
Extended warranty - 17439
Insurance - 34158
Road tax - 125465
Registration charge - 550
TCS charges - 12550
My Nexa Card - 1145
Corporate Offer - minus Rs. 10000

Final OTR price - 1435959

1.3 Alpha OTR was around 12.3 after discounts and 1.3 zeta was around 11 Lakhs. Zeta 1.3 is good VFM. I used to drive a Pete's remapped Ritz, so I was keen on 1.6 only.

Compared to 1.3 the clutch is a little bit heavier. Turbo lag is very manageable, it is not bad at all if you keep it above 1500 rpm.I read in another forum that maruti has tweaked the map of Scross to improve driveabilty. I've driven only about 1000 kms till now, so i hope engine response will only get better.

Cheers [cheers]

Thank you turbodiesel for this. Much appreciated [thumbsup][thumbsup]

I am in fact looking for Zeta 1.3 as I feel that would be sufficient for my usage pattern as well as being an excellent value for money.

Arun

No problems, more than happy to help. Zeta 1.3 is the most vfm model. I did the mistake of test driving 1.6 and never looked back, even though i had to stretch a bit ;)

I know. 1.6 320 NM must be addictive. Especially the turbo surge [clap]. Wishing you only happy times with your ride

Guys can you confirm whether Maruti have officially changed the alloy designs for S-Cross. Coz had seen ad on today's newspaper (pic attached). These look much better.

Yes. These are the new design alloys. All new dispatches are coming with these OEM alloys. These are pretty and has definitely enhanced the look.
That's great. Atlast Maruti worked on customers feedback regarding alloys.

Congrats buddy!! I too own 1.6 Alpha and have driven more than 10K KM. My car was remapped at 4000 KM and it is just insane to drive now with that humongous 390 NM torque. Are you planning to remap too, since your previous car was remapped. And Pete's has remap offer till 24th for just 14,250 Rs.

Hye guys. I have one question regarding S-cross. Does S-cross rattles as typical maruti cars. I have ritz & Ertiga in my home. Got fed up of rattles and fixing them again n again.
