Subwoofer - Free Air Type or Enclosed Type?

hi guys i have some queries regarding free air type sub-woofers and enclosed sub-woofers.


please correct me on the following statements I've mentioned.

it is said that free air sub woofers are not as powerful as the enclosed ones.
they are costly,
they do not produce effective bass,
produces awful sound when used in hatchbacks,


so guys is it wise to use free air sub-woofers in a hatchback? ( Beat or Swift )
and please give your inputs on the difference between two. ( sorry for my lack of knowledge on this topic )

Go for enclosed subwoofers, they give you a tighter punch & better effect since their enclosures are designed according to their specifications.
