ŠKODA AUTO India registers 30 % growth in 2017
> ŠKODA Auto India sold 17,438 cars in 2017 (+30 % growth over 2016)
> ŠKODA RAPID remains the bestseller, ŠKODA KODIAQ and OCTAVIA provides strong growth impetus

Mumbai, January, 3rd, 2018: ŠKODA AUTO India continues to record strong performance in India. Selling 17,438 cars in 2017, the company achieved 30% more sales than the previous year (2016).The NEW OCTAVIA, NEW RAPID and NEW KODIAQ have received overwhelming response from customers and media; have contributed significantly to the overall growth of the brand. The brand promises further growth impetus from the new models in 2018. In addition, the rebranding and introduction of the NEW CICD across all retail outlets along with new customer focused initiatives have contributed to the overall growth of the brand. Additionally, the 4 year service care program offers 4 year warranty, 4 year (24 x 7) Road Side Assistance (RSA) and a 4 year (optional) service package; has made a significant contribution towards increasing customer satisfaction and the ownership experience towards the brand.
Commenting on the strong business performance, Mr. Ashutosh Dixit, Director - Marketing, Sales and Services, ŠKODA AUTO India said, “We have concluded the year well and are very happy with our performance in 2017. This 30% growth underscores the fact that we are optimally positioned with our current model range in India; the improved business performance reflects a well devised strategy that is in moving in the right direction for us. With the ŠKODA KODIAQ, we successfully launched a true game changer in October last year. The large SUV already represents an important pillar of ŠKODA’s development in India. We are very optimistic with our SUV strategy for India. ŠKODA AUTO India will continue to push ahead with its model offensive campaign in 2018."
ŠKODA AUTO India witnessed strong sales momentum on the back of four model launches – NEW KODIAQ, NEW OCTAVIA, OCTAVIA RS and the RAPID EDITION X. As a part of the new campaign, ŠKODA Auto India has revamped its entire network including sales and service outlets. This modernized appearance is based on the new ŠKODA corporate design & identity. Additionally, ŠKODA AUTO India has also launched the ‘MYŠKODA’ mobile application which will provide customers with comprehensive information, data and facts about their ŠKODA cars. The application has been designed to allow ŠKODA owners access to their previous service records, predict next Service, call for Roadside Assistance, locate the nearest ŠKODA dealership etc. amongst many other features.
ŠKODA AUTO India also offers a 4 year service care program which consist of a 4 year warranty program and a 4 year (24 x 7) Road Side Assistance which is standard on all SKODA products. Additionally, customers now have an option to purchase a 4 year service package at a nominal price which ensures a hassle-free ownership experience.
