Hello everyone,
Few days ago I decided to buy a dash cam for my car. After searching decide to go for a action cam with car mode.
Product name : SJCam SJ4000 Basic
Price : 3641 INR
Imported from China mainland. There was no customs duty since the item was marked as a gift.

Initial impressions :
The action camera seems to be pretty good both in build quality and video quality. Hats off for SJCam team for building such a very good product at such low price.
It has a CMOS camera that has a field of view of 170° and can record .MOV H.264 video at 1920x1080P(30fps), 1280x720P(60fps), 848×640(60fps),and 648×480 (60fps). The pictures that it captures in Photo mode are just as good. It can capture JPG images at 12MP, 10MP, 8MP, 5MP, 3MP, 2MHD(1080), VGA(480) and 1.3M(960). Images and video are recorded on a MicroSD card. It can support SD cards up to 32GB. Battery has a life of about 90 minuted.
Using car mode this camera can be easily turned into a dash cam. However suction mount has to be purchased separately.

Additional points :
There are a lot of fake ones in market, be sure to check serial number to verify. Only buy product from online website if they provide buyers guarantee.
If you could afford to spend additional 1500 rupees on this, you could get a wifi version where you can view and safe files from your smartphone.
