Hi, guys wanted to know i am keen to buy a safari without spending a lot of money now during covid times saw one safari 4x4 2006 3.0 ltr engine for sale the it is a second owner and in pics it looks nice, the owner says everything is working with 126000 km on the odo.

Since i have a maruti esteem at home for my daily and city drives, I plan to spend around 30 to 50k on bringing the safari to good condition if required i plan to go for trips with my family in it once in 6 months or so, I come from a Automobile Technical background so can tackle small maintenance and troubleshoot things, or get it repaired from outside, I wanted to know with fellow members who have this beast and what is it to live with it, how is the power, torque and mileage, please advice or should i go for the 2.2 dicor thank you in advance.

This is a pic of the car

Aside from scrappage policy and all the green drama, 06 is now 16 yrs old car.

I could have recommended 2.2 Dicor, but 3.0 would be a big NO from me.
