Here is the start: http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...ty-missing-years-together-visiting-again.html
I don't want to bore you guys with loooong history.
Started from Coimbatore on 28th Apr 03:00pm and returned back on 30th Apr 08:00pm
Initial Plan:
- 28th (Day 1): Sim's park (Coonoor), night stay at Aruvankadu - Ooty (Uncle home)
- 29th (Day 2): Shooting spot --> Pykara --> Rose Garden --> Botanical Garden
- 30th (Day 3): Dolphin nose --> Kodanad view point --> Catherin falls --> return to CBE
But everything went upside down due to monsoon
Day 1
Started by 01:00pm reached coonoor by 06:30. Thanks to the 3 hour traffic jam. So the plan of visiting Sim's park is spoiled. Reached Aruvankadu by 08:00pm, had a great dinner at my uncle's home.
Went for a walk after dinner. Climate was awesome, chill and drizling.
Day 2
Started by 08:00am to Rose Garden. Rose Rose Rose and full of Roses. Could not resist myself from clicking almost all flowers there. Clicked more than 300 snaps.
By 11:00am started towards Shooting spot, mom said why not Dodebetta? Here is where we made a big mistake. It stared raining and we get stuck in a traffic jam for about 2 hours. By 02:00pm reached Dodebetta, sadly all that we could see is mist.
Had lunch and reached Shooting spot by 03:00pm. The moment we reached the top, it started raining again. Returned to the car and we wait for around 1 hour for the rain to stop, but with no success. We gave up the plan of Pykara since the monsoon went against us.
We were at Botanical garden by 04:30pm and spent the rest of time there and returned home.
Day 3
Sim's park by 10:00am. Spent around 2 hours there and then started towards Kodanadu via Kothagiri. I didn't expect such a good road in ooty. Not even a single pothole. Before we reached Kodanad view point, it started raining. Had lunch and we were waiting for the rain to stop. Around 03:00pm, the sky was clear. Had a great view.
On the return journey went to Catherin falls. 5km drive towards falls was scary. It was a single road. One should scratch the car against bushes and stones to allow on-coming traffic. (thank God, once I got a mini bus on the opposite side, I found a safe place to park my car aside)
It was disappointing not much water from the falls.
Here are the few snaps.
