Security Window Film

Guys there is a new product introduced to a market Safety and Security Window Film this seems to be the younger brother of bullet proof window these films are polyester films that are applied to glass and glazing in order to hold them together if the glass is shattered (similar to laminated glass). The main difference between film and laminated glass is that the film can be applied to the glass or glazing after manufacture or installation.

Some Safety and Security Companies says that
This is a special reinforce film with high quality material to withstands high impact such as Hard Object, Bullet and Explosion. Withhold glass from breaking into pieces and prevent penetration which may create danger to human life or property. Not like other security film,it has been tested with various heavy weapons and explosive.

Note:Pics of the ballistic tests done on the film will be posted as soon as possible.

thats a great thing. can be very useful to businessmen & politicians. but can this be misused by many if its cheap.

Thanks for the information.

Seems to be good but, it will not be available for public to my guess.
There are already certain norms which are followed by Govt. So they will try to use this only VIP cars.

Anyways in explosions car will be damaged & the person inside the car will be thrown away for sure. dont know how this Scecurity Film is going to help

As it is a younger brother of bullet proof glass, it'd be not prove safe like bullet proof glass, but a notch higher than regular glass and films.

You are right the person in the car will be thrown away,but in some cases the glasses shatter and causes injury or maybe death but this glass will hold the shattered glass together.I personally think this film wont provide complete safety this will decrease the impact only.
