there will be no issues using good rubbing compound to your paint. But i think your scratch needs paint touch-up.

what will be the fate of the original paint if the rubbing compound is used? i heard that the rubbing compound spoils the paint.

What you have heard is true? Excessive and repeated use of rubbing compound does spoil the paint but you can use it once in a while. Just give it a try, if it doesnt help ask MASS guys to do the touch up work.

Rubbing compound is used to clean a area like smallest dust on paint.

do not use them as a wax polish .

2 types of scratches ,

one on the paint , can be removed only by painting again.

Other , the particle sticking on them , like a bike handle bar's rubber on the door , a protruding bolero's tyre mark on the car!!

the last one can be removed by rubbing compound.

After using a rubbing compound dont forget to use wax polish.


BTW scratches must happen , its my business hehe
