Bought a Wd 2Tb External for 6.9k from ebay.
Seagate is priced cheaper but direct imports are not honoured for warranty in india.
Also ebay sellers pass on direct imports hence played it safe with Wd.

Ya i would recommend WD as well as the first choice and then one can look for seagate.

Toshiba's are really good as well. And they are pretty cheaper than the WD and Seagate. I am using one from last 2 years.

Hi,

I got a Seagate 1TB HDD, over a year ago. No complaints and no regrets.
Paid 5400 rps.

I would also like to suggest it to others as mine has a spotless track record. [:D]

I’m noticing a strange issue with this hard disk. It shows limited available space upon connecting to laptop. However, it becomes fine if I reconnect through USB again.

Hope the issue can be fixed without replacing the piece. I’m using HDD to store sensitive data. Hence, decided to opt for WD after collecting several user opinions.
