Are you running it on CFW, if yes then which one ? It could be due to unstable CFW.

In not then probably its a loose battery terminal connection. Visit any sony service center

what CFW are you running on? and is it PSP 1000? 2000? or 3000?

+1 to krish- battery could be lose. or when it starts, keep on holding the R button. it takes you in some menu. see what you can do there.

get 5.50 Gen-D. it is the newer ones. i have it on my psp. works like a charm. also if you put this new firmware, you will be able to play some of the new games. did you try to go in the vsh menu?

Try two things.

1. You keep on the ac adapter and then try to upgrade 5.50 - GEND. If its still goes on and off , I really doubt it would be with any softare issue. In that case better visit service center

2. Try using your Pandora battery. You must have those while flashing OFW and installing CFW.

Hope above suggestiong will come to your help.

Now i think the problem is the power switch(switch to turn on and off).
If it is put in hold mode it doesnt not turn off.Need to correct.Where can I do it?
