Procedure To Re-registration To Other Owner

My brother-in-law has car in Ahmedabad and planning to by new vechicle. So i thought of buying the car than he sells to someone. I am staying in Bangalore and would like to know what is the procedure on re-registration of a car from Ahmedabad to Bangalore to other owner? He is also planning to get the NOC before sells to me. Atleast i want to know, how to change the name, address than complete re-registration?

Welcome to The Automotive India, Prasanna. First off, if the car is BS-3 then I’m afraid that it would be difficult to transfer the vehicle to Bangalore.

Thank you for the information, i forget totally on this. It is BS-III vechicle.
Do you think it is better to re-register at Chennai and just drive it here?
