My lappy Sony Vaio has ATI-Radeon has HD5470 series 512 MB, so far every game I had installed are working, make sure you keep the laptop on a stand, which keeps it cool.
Go for ATI Radeon from AMD rather Nvidia.

@allhyundaicars, Your one is far far far far far better!![lol]
are you sure ? i couldn't compare it. if its true then it rules out graphics card as the problem.

no i will not buy another card [:D] and i don't really have enough knowledge about this.

now i think heat can be the issue. i keep at bed.

a video that i took in november

lag in games : dell inspiron 15r - YouTube

in high performance it sometimes lags like this only when buttons are kept pressed. if i let go of the buttons it works properly.

so i tried game booster , it seemed to work at first but same lag :\ but the idea is very good , kill all services.

but it kills each and everything and restarts after exiting a game so i got 6-7 windows of softwares being restarted when i exit the game.

but it provided me with some valuable information.

What's this? You've seemed to have Nvidia Graphics. Then how came it like that? Can you open the Nvidia Control Panel? If then, goto 'Set PhysX Configuration' in the 3D settings. Set it to 'your graphic card'. If it's already like that, select Auto.
(Just for Checking)Then go to Adjust Desktop Color Settings, 3. Digital vibrance : Adjust and check if saturation is increasing or decreasing.

The lag must be due to heating issue.

When a laptop heats up it causes lag.

Try using a cooling pad or give it some lift while gaming, in such a way that the cooling fins are a bit higher and can easily access cooler air around.

Not all laptops have upgrade able graphics. The graphics card is sometimes a part of the main board and cannot be upgraded.

now i set it to my graphics card 525m. will see if it still lags or not [cry]

i'm uninstalling game booster , it relaunches everything when i exit the game.

many people suggested the same , and i'm now feeling that could be the problem.

the air vent is on the left and i make sure that its in the air , i mean the left part has no base and i think heat cannot trap. but i think i have to buy a cooling pad. but before will try each and everything.

I have made a thick square box using hard board which gives me some elevation.
Hey buddy, i am using a laptop stand, that was bought from UK from Sis.

It breaks every year, and she brings one for me.

I use laptop 10 hours a day and my Vaio remains cool forever.

I did complete GTA-4 on my laptop, which i used to play 10 hours together.

Really helpful when playing games.

And a customised cushion lap pad , for protection from heat of laptop to groin area.

It gives an elevation and air movement beneath laptop.

Mine is a DIY using some easily accessible materials(cake base and glue).

As long as it provide the elevation for the cooling vents at the back and sides it should be good.

hmm , that's a great stand. and the position of the laptop is good as well. wil try flipkart if they have similar stands or will go to a computer market nearby and purchase a similar stand.
