Porsche celebrated its 75th anniversary in style by showcasing the Vision 357 concept at the Volkswagen Group's "DRIVE" event in Berlin. The concept supercar is based on the 718 Cayman GT4 RS and pays homage to the 356 No.1 Roadster model-the first car to wear the Porsche badge.

Speculations are rife that Style Porsche Team has modified 356's design language for the new concept. According to the company, Vision 357 retains the dimensions of the iconic 356 while incorporating futuristic styling cues.

The concept is sleek, and designers have hidden the door handles in the rear side glass. In the Vision 357 concept, instead of side mirrors, cameras have been used. Porsche has concealed the lights at the front and rear behind perforations in the body panel. Interestingly, it has incorporated the third brake light into the rear grille motif, similar to the 356.

The Porsche Vision 357 Concept will mirror the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, recently unveiled in India at the company's Festival of Dreams event. The concept will get the same naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six engine as the new GT4 RS that can produce 486bhp. Porsche claims to develop a mid-mounted engine to support synthetic fuels.

Porsche has applied a two-tone paint finish, with Grivola Gray Metallic covering the front bumper and Ice Gray Metallic enveloping the majority of the vehicle. The doors and hood have large "75" decals, and the front fenders and rear fascia have "357" stickers.
