Hey 350Z i have been to Kanyakumari before. A 12-13hour drive from Chennai and all are 4-lane roads right from Chennai to Kanyakumari. Amazing pictures of sunset and sunrise , one of the major attractions of this place.

That's good cooldhaya, we went through Nagarcoil and roads are ‘okay’. Yes, Sunrise and Sunset are the most important tourist attractions of Kanyakumari. It was 5 at morning and I could see from top of the hotel that a huge crowd of people was gathered on the watch tower just to have a glance of dawn (Sun appears coming up from the sea). Where else in kanyakumari have you been to?

Only to the places where you have gone to , that is the Thiruvalluvar statue , Vivenkananda memorial and to witness the sunset and sunrise! I was a small kid when we visited there last and i was fascinated to see the sun set and rise from the sea! We planned to stay there for one night only and so we had to witness the sunset on the same day we reach there. I still remember it was race against time in our Sierra when we visited there because we had to reach the view-point before the sunset and we just managed to be on time , it was around 6:30!


We are now again planning for a trip there to visit a few temples.
