Passat and Jetta Price Down

Volkswagen has launched new variants of its popular sedans Passat and Jetta in the Indian auto market. Volkswagen introduced a new petrol version of its luxury sedan VW Passat which is now compliant with the new emission norms that come into effect from today. VW Passat will be now powered with smaller 1.8L TSI petrol engine that delivers out 160PS of maximum power and 250Nm of maximum torque. A smaller engine means that the new Passat is now more price competitive to compete with Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. The new petrol variant of VW Passat is now priced at Rs. 19.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new 1.8L engine is also more fuel efficient, high-powered and compact delivering fuel efficiency of 12.69 kmpl.

Jetta has been reduced by Rs.50000.

Wow..this was much needed price cut and makes a good deal. Passat is such a great car. i wish to buy one if i had even 19 Lakhs. Even skoda has also chopped prices of superb now.
