Thanks. Many people have complimented about the wooden finish. It is after market job by Autographix. This one is pasted but built-in types are also available.

Nice review Vibhor. Somehow I feel the 800 was the only good car Maruti made. They used the reputation of low cost of ownership and great milege of the 800 to sell their other cars. Sadly none of the other cars lived up to this. The 5 speed was also the best of the 800's and the resale is still good.

+1 to that, a perfect city driven car, zippy, easy to park, manevour in traffics, also early editions uptill 2006 were best of maruti 800 produced.
Good report buddy, hope you keep enjoying your ride.

Maruti 800 sure is one of the most reliable cars in India untill now. But the biggest disappointment has been about the light built and non-stop rattles.

Plan isn't confirmed but I might bid adieu to her if I find can find a suitable buyer who would treat her at least equally (or more) than me. Yet the plan for selling isn't certain. I will post rest of the information later on.

well said , if you bid her good bye... you may miss her forever imho. rather why not keep her for goodness sake. after all she is not going to fetch you a bumper. rather who knows if keeping her with you might prove more valuable someday .!!

I’m in a very strange situation regarding my 800 at present. Not sure whether to retain it or not. Still, for the time being it is with me, I’m taking full care of it as a true petrol head. Have booked for a service tomorrow. And yes, I will post some pictures but be cautioned, it does not looks as nice as in previous pictures because some paint on the bumper has peeled off and today, removed the wheel covers too. Let’s see if I get new ones again. (Cancelled the plan of alloys).

IMO if you are planning to get another car and selling off this one, then no use of spending on alloys.

Yes. I'm holding on the plans for major accessories.
