Friends,

We attended the Off-Roading Experience for the upcoming and much talked about SUV of TATA Motors, the Hexa. Today the event was held at Gurgaon and it saw a large crowd of enthusiasts, prospective buyers and even those who came just to feel the newness of this SUV. Hexa is definitely generations ahead of the entire range of TATA SUVs which have been offered so far and even ahead of their other cars prior to TIAGO. It boasts of an entirely new look and does not have any carry-forwards from the much compared SUV, TATA Aria. Hexa looks much more smart and attention grabbing. Hexa is designed for those who love to own a luxury SUV with a specific budget. It is definitely one of the SUVs from TATA which I personally also was looking forward to and surely would love to drive in future. This SUV also serves the purpose for families and enthusiasts alike. I am really impressed with the ride quality of this new SUV among many other aspects. So, here is the official coverage of enthralling HEXA Experience. Hope you all too enjoy![:)]

Now, The Off-Roading done with the TATA HEXA. Nowdays, showing off-roading capabilities of the SUVs is becoming a norm with the brands. Recently, Ford & Toyota also showcased the same and now TATA also did. This off-roading event will definitely helped a lot of people to come close and understand the real virtues of an off-roader. TATA is known for building tough vehicles which can tackle any terrain with much ease so even the HEXA has that DNA intact in it[clap]. The only thing which I felt could have been a bit better was the management at the venue. As there were just 2 operational cars with 15 minutes each for one person, a group 4-5 people sat in it and for next 1-1.5 hours the car got engaged with that group. We got the car quite late but let me be honest here, the time spent inside HEXA during Off-roading was truly worthwhile because for a car of this particular segment, I feel HEXA is very well groomed as an off-road vehicle too. At high inclines it easily climbed and even descent was also very balanced. Water Wading was also really impressive in my opinion as without a hitch Hexa passed it.

Couple of the observations with regards to the performance of TATA Hexa.

6) Ride wise absolutely stable and planted. Braking is awesome. Even in emergency braking the car stops very nicely without any untoward jerks.

7) The 4x4 manual is a terrific machine in terms of gearbox smoothness.

8) For off-roading, for a car of this segment, the performance is worth appreciating. Brands are projecting their MPV as a SUV, but for those wannabes, Hexa is the right answer!

Thanks for the detailed coverage Akash1886.

I have not gone through the videos yet but have a few questions to ask -

1. What is that large black portion on bottom (centre) of the windsheild? You have mentioned it as rain sensor I guess. Doesn't it interfere while driving?

2. How good is the sweep from wipers? I saw the wipers have been designed like that of the Civic. But in Civic, the wipers were damn large unlike the ones on Hexa. Do they cover the glass perfectly?

Safari 2.2 is a timeless beauty. It still looks mean and clean in comparison. [:)]

Regards,
Alpha
