Vauxhall is working on a facelift of the current Corsa and judging by our spy images, it could arrive in 2023. The update could include a complete overhaul of the front end, plus a more upmarket interior.

The Corsa is Britain’s best-selling car, but it was launched in 2019 so a mid-life update is just about due. It was the first all-new Vauxhall produced after the acquisition of the brand by the now parent company PSA Group. Since then we’ve seen the Mokka, Grandland SUV and Astra all take on the brand’s new design language.

We can expect the new ‘Vizor’ headlight and grille shape to come to the Corsa, which will completely transform the front end. A similar change was seen on the Grandland’s facelift in 2021 and, like that car, we expect tweaks to the rear to be kept to a minimum.

The engine lineup of the Corsa is unlikely to be altered, so the range of 1.2-litre Puretech petrol units should continue with the facelifted model, along with the choice of manual and automatic transmissions. The all-electric Corsa-e will also return with a range of 222 miles - a figure that was upped from 209 miles in December 2021.

The interior of the refreshed Corsa could see a hefty update in terms of technology. The current car offers a seven-inch touchscreen as standard with a 10-inch touchscreen as an option. There’s potential for the 10-inch version to become standard or even the latest Astra’s dual 10-inch touchscreen set up to make its way over to the Corsa.
