Yes that's true. You can't even keep a bag inside which is easily visible. Maybe you didn't keep any valuable in there but the thief doesn't know it. They will brake the glass and take out the bag. I always tell my business associates when they come visit us in Delhi.

It's raining in Delhi. Someone stole the small wiper blade of the car. I don't know how cheap people can be.
I can relate to the anguish. My car’s antenna was stolen at authorized parking in Nehru Place. The thief (which I assume must have been a driver or owner) was courteous enough to put their car’s damaged antenna on mine.

That
Odo at 112000 kms.
Got the car serviced for 1930rs which included mobil 5w30 engine oil, air filter, oil filter and labor.
Radiator fan was not working so the motor needed to be changed which costed 2500rs.
Total expense including the motor, radiator and ac service cost me 5000rs.

Wow.. Thats quiet cheap for a 1,12,000 km run car specially since the brand has left India

Odo at 118k kms. Spent around 23k on suspension.
Steering rack costed 11k. Original Ford was difficult to find, rest all parts were genuine.
Car had a small accident as well and the engine mount which was replaced 20k kms back got damaged. Also the local arm bushes which the mechanic suggested were damaged again so this time got original arms.
Parts included 2 arms, 2 front shockers, steering rack, some rack bush, engine mount and other small parts and 2100 rs labor and alignment.

Expenses, expenses and more expenses. Does ford do not age well? I have spent 70k rupees in the last 27k kms.
Anyways, I am also to blame buying aftermarket products on their recommendations. From now on every part I will try to buy genuine only.

I got 2 engine mounting changed in my post above and now the third one failed which I changed in December 2021 (technix brand 2500rs)
Today bought original Ford mounting and got the car serviced and intercooler cleaned.

The turbo hose also had a leak which costs a whopping 4400rs but the shop keeper was able to find the part for 850rs.(maybe a second hand part)

Are the parts which you were using which were causing frequent replacements not genuine?

If the OEM is costly, did you think of trying 'OEM Replacements?' In Boodmo, you can get the recommendations on the OEM replacements. You can look at parts from reputed manufacturers which have the same specifications as the 'original' part but is cheaper in terms of price.

I try to get genuine parts whenever I can but I trusted the shop guy with the technix brand for engine mounting.
The other confusion is I am not sure which brand the shopkeeper gave the mechanic when the other two mounts were replaced. ( mechanic didn't send me the photos)
It's easy to find oem for Hyundai, it's not easy for Ford because there is nothing mentioned besides the Ford logo.
On boodmo as well all I could see was technix brand.

2. When I changed the radiator fan motor, ac guy gave me a heavy load motor(perhaps of an ecosport) fan used to turn on every two minutes damaging the fuse within 2 days. Went to another guy who asked me to get a bigger fuse and I outright refused it. Since getting a bigger fuse would have damaged some other part. Asked him to source another motor(lighter compared to the first ac guy) for 2500rs again. Problem got fixed.

Thing is because of low figo sales these things are happening and I am wasting money. Of the 70k estimate I think I have easily wasted 10k because of repeat failures.

I hope I don't have to spend a penny more for atleast a year.

May be part sharing with other vehicles of similar generation would help you in terms of availability and cost but having Ford left India, costs of OEM spares will definitely be costly as compared to Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai.

Hyundai parts are costly especially the 1.6L CRDi variant.
