I dont remember having this before the service . Did they replace it during service?
I am 100% sure that they had stolen your airbag. My AC condenser got stolen at the FASS at the 50k service after which I had avoided them like poison till now(crossed 107k). Please get it sorted out before embarking on a long drive.

Got the car serviced at 84500kms.
There was some minor issue which needed to be addressed and then I saw the odo reading(last serviced at 72k kms) so thought of getting it serviced there and then.

Engine oil - mobil 5w30 synthetic 1350rs
Engine oil filter - 350rs.
Air filter - 360rs.
Brake pads Bosch - 980rs.
The brake pads that I bought earlier from kashmeri gate market were for the first generation model. I will sell those in the shop from where I bought the above items from.

Car's odo nearing 89500kms.
Ac air throw has reduced marginally and I just checked it's been 30k kms since last cabin filter change[clown] will get it fixed tomorrow.
Also both the right hand side doors are a pain to open, especially the rear one. I watched a video on YouTube and you can check the issue there also. (Start at 2:30)

So he fixed by spraying a WD40 like oil and I will do the same tomorrow and update.

Other thing is that how do I know the suspension is good or bad by driving the car? The suspension produced loud thud even at 20kmph in deep potholes which used to happen since day 1. Normal potholes are not felt that much in the car but it sure is nearing 90k kms. Will get the next service done from ford.
Car is still on the original clutch and suspension , brake pads lasted 85k kms[clap]

Volkswagen had something similar and they used to bill us every time we complained (or they found) the doors hard, around ₹1,400 for a small 50 ml spray can.

1400rs ? [shock] what was so special in it ?
I visited both my local mechanic as well as Harpreet ford( hemkund ford is out of business)
Local mechanic said clutch is hard and steering rack is damaged since I am getting noise in potholes plus steering also produces kut kut sound standing still.
Harpreet ford guy suggested clutch needs overhaul plus tie rod needs to be changed. For confirmation he has to lift the car and check which will be done only after booking. I think this is the only service centre now in North Delhi.
There was around 60 cars.

Harpreet ford said 20k for clutch work but online it says 12k . Check the screenshot.

Now again I am confused from where to get the car serviced. Mind says Harpreet ford but I didn't have very good experience with them over the past few years.
Sourcing parts aftermarket is tough for this car. Have to roam for a good amount just to get the basic service parts.

Whenever they recommend steering column replacement, get a second opinion [:D]. Just recently got a friend's Jazz repaired from our usual guy after Honda recommended the steering column replacement and it was just worn out ball joints and an about to die struts. Sometimes it can be the steering itself, but can be repaired outside the ASC (in most case). We repaired our Polo's when it had the thud felt on the wheel and it was just ₹800 if remember correct.

1400rs ? [shock] what was so special in it ?
It comes with an Audi logo in it [lol].

So there were a total of 55 bookings today plus last days' booking because there was no electricity the whole day.
Advisor told me shock absorber plus tie rod needs to be changed which has to be ordered.
He quoted insane prices for replacement since I checked online and I asked him for a computerized estimate. And I am waiting since morning just for the estimate.
Whole day wasted.

I am attaching the quotation. The labor rates are outrageous.
Do I really need to replace all these suspension parts ?

Also the car vibrates a lot after turning it off , I just casually mentioned engine mount to him and the advisor now has conveniently added engine mount also. How to know if it's bad ?

These sc advisors are really full of s***.
After getting the estimate I told him a no go for the work and told him to replace only the passenger side window switch and since I am out of town told him to deliver the car at home.

Next thing I know I am getting a bill of 6000rs. I called him and to summarise the whole scenario -
They do service before all the mechanical work which is odd.
He told me I gave the go ahead for the service so nothing can be done.
He charged 700rs for diagnosing the suspension related problems.
In the end I paid 4185rs for engine oil , fuel filter and oil filter plus labor charges.

The next day local mechanic picked up the car and I got the following things done.
1. Shocker kit. (Some rubber parts) 880
2. Some bush set. 390
3. Engine mount 1790
4. Engine mount.2790
5. Arm bush. 1180
Labor
Steering column repair 1650
Labor for fitting bush 480
Shocker labor 600
Switch repair 300
Suspension labor 1500
