Need Information - Change of Ownership

I have bought a used bike having the address on book as "Avadi, Chennai-54", I want to transfer this to my name. Its actually 50Kms away from chennai city. I have few queries, it will be of great help if you kindly reply.

1. Can I do it on Saturday? As in weekdays I have office.
2. Can I do it from Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Chennai south zone? As I am staying now in T Nagar, in city Chennai.
3. How much time it will take and what credentials and how much money I need for the same?
4. I have all forms signed by the previous owner, his presence is needed or I can do all the steps? As i think it will be tough for me to get him to RTO office.

Regarding to your query,
1.Most of RTO offices are closed on Saturday.
2.you can apply for the transfer from the t nagar RTO office as you are residing there.
3&4 better take help of an RTO agent if you don't have time,you can ask a few of the agents then go with the one that suits your requirement.
