Even I was thinking about the same.

Just a little confused, whether FZ16 handles better or Apache 180?

Apache 180 handles as superb handling but looks bland. When compared to the FZ-16, Apache is easier to carry round extreme corners. However its engine refinement is no where close to the Yamaha FZ series.

@ guys

Cmon.

Dont shy away from the thread.

Budget: 80 K(non-strechable)

Options:
HH CBZ Xtreme
Karizma R (ZMR out of reach)
Honda Stunner
Unicorn
Dazzler (dont like the looks much, but still..)
Gladiator
SZ-R

NOT considered
Bajaj pulsar family (rumours say new 4-valve pulsars by year end, dont want outdated bike)
Pulsar 135 (hate the looks)
Royal Enfields (dad and mom say too noisy)
Suzuki GS150R (dont like looks, excels at nothing, average bike, heard of quality issues)
TVS Apache (mom says no TVS)
Yamaha FZ series (dad and mom dont like the looks)

Out of that list i would suggest you to go for Yamaha SZX. A complete VFM bike which is now available with front Disc brake. With that budget, i wont suggest a 125cc Stunner or Gladiator, though both of them have refined engines and a wonderful drive.

Well, I would llike to do some serious touring on the bike, and for that purpose I find the above mentioned bikes underpowered.

Any new launches coming about soon?

CBZ Extreme is a very good bike. I would suggest you that one. It is rock solid and stable at high speeds. I have done a couple of rides in the bike. Liked it very much in terms of handling!

Honda Stunner is the favourite, unless something exceptional happens.

Honda Stunner is an awesome piece of machinery, however at high speeds, it gets irritatingly noisy which somehow reduces the ride pleasure. This is the reason i never suggested you one.

@ Akash

How good/bad has the experience with Honda been?

And how much trouble-free has the bike been?

Any reasons for leaving out Hunk?

My friend has one and its a pretty good bike , good riding position even for a tall guy like me. Has got a smooth and vibe free ride even at high speeds.
