very handy in repairing scooter ,bike ,cycle and car (especially where space is a constraint eg dashboard opening and interior trims,doors and hinges,seat attachment and working in the engine bay etc.

For me,actually this is Gold.

Repaired my sons bicycle (Tata Stryder) at home. He was helping me ,well,as a helper,learning the tricks of DIY trade.Got a chance to use my newly acquired tool set.Both the rims and tuyres and tubes were changed to new.Bothe the paddles were changed,although only one was cracked.This was all as a result of a minor accident between a bike and the cycle.Luckily No One was injured,only my sons ego got hurt.No sweat!! It's all a part of learning.Likewise I fell down many times during my days too.Again no sweat!
The bicycle was not used since the accident and hopefully now it will be of good use. There is lot of good value still left in the cycle. New one is costing 7000 something!



Brake shoe has hardened up and cracked

Now the pics are of "after the DIY job"
New tyre,New tubes,New aluminium rims ,New pedals.
Now my son is very happy and wants to hit the road as soon as the rains stop! Thank God.

I like to get my hands dirty to do these simple jobs.I love to do these simple things.I enjoy the time I spend on these DIYs.Its like meditation.

My OIL FILTER removal plier.

It fits oil filters up to 115mm in diameter .It has 3-position slip joint design which quickly adjusts to size of the filter automatically. It has teeth like grip while turning in either direction. It has 12 inch Long handles which help in reaching into tight spaces where actually most filters are located!!.
It has soft, comfortable grips which are made of rubber like material.so that even when working with oil,it does not slip.


Old oil filter is sometimes very tight and refuses to come off. No need to puncture the filter with a screwdriver and make things messy.This One grips like anything!

Thankfully it's not made in china.

I have 6 different types of oil filter wrenches. All work in different ways but achieve the same result.
Some of them look like torture instruments. Some are scary to work with. But I like them all.
Still I usually prefer socket type wrenches more than others. One must know how to use them properly, or else it causes more harm than good.

Its meant to come into the picture when you are about to puncture the filter because its not coming out! No need to make a full turn.
Its meant to just loosen the filter wee bit and then it becomes loose enough to continue with your work.! Actually its grip+ leverage is phenomenal.

Well this is to demonstrate how well It grips the filters of XUV 500 as well as that of diesel Nexon. It opens both with ease.


This is Nexon oil filter

This is XUV oil filter

Grip is very firm,with still margin left for a bigger filter.Nexon has the biggest filter I have ever seen,bigger than bolero ,scorpio, xuv Innova etc. Its not tall but the dia is maximum.

XUV oil filter is large( but not as large as Nexon) and very tall,which leaves very less space to work around.
