Wonderful and passionate review Linkin and also you are keeping it updated regularly

I also have an Indica XETA which will complete 6 years in December 2012

I can hardly think of any OOPS moments when it has failed on us to do its duty. Its such a VFM car built by TML

Also the diesel mill on Indica DLS is a Benchmark in my opininon [:)]

I am facing the Diesel pump issue can you pls let me know the contact number for the Venkataeshwara diesel pump service person
Am sorry for the late reply, I don't have the contact number. However, it is located near Balaji dental college. Take your car there and they will check if pump needs overhaul.

A short update, the car has done 81,000kms. Heard some screaching noise from the alternator area so changed the bearing as advised by mechanic. Someone, stolen my 2 wheel caps from a side and daylight led's [anger] which was parked in front of my house. It seems that turbo losing power but not heavy, needs some service. The mileage had dropped down to 16 to 17 in the city and 19 to 20 in the highway need to have a look on it. Other than that, the car was running strong.[:D]

Last saturday night without knowingly hit the speed braker nearly 50km per hour. As a result the steering felt weird and some kind of khad khad noise while turning left or right in 1st and 2nd gear. It seems whole front is shaking and power steering oil leakage was fast. Went to my regular mechanic upon inspecting he quoted 20k[surprise] that steering pump has gone and want to change the front suspension. I felt that he is going to ruin my pocket just left the place.

I enquired with one of my friend regarding this issue and he referred me a mechanic who was working in concorde motor service centre. On monday evening he came to my house and test drive the vehicle. Within a minute, he found the fault that engine mount bush seemed to be worn out and regarding the leakage, the pipe should be replaced has it became hard. The suspension seems to be ok and lower arm bush still have a life of 45%.

So on next day he came to my house at 7:30pm changed the bush and steering pipe. I insisted him to change the diesel filter as I have already one in my house. To my surprise he asked do you have an engine oil and I said yes and gave it to him. He just poured half of the level below the diesel filter container. Upon asking it said that it will lubricate the diesel pump and a longer life.
He also asked to use System D, as it is very important for Indica cars to extend the life of the car and definitely you will see change in the perfomance of the car. Purchased the System D for 240rs and still I did not used. Will update after the usage.
Now the car back to mint condition reduced engine noise and increased pick up.
Total cost 1300rs including labour[:D]. I will strongly recommend this mechanic to all Tata vehicle.

Yes for the older diesel engines you need to use the SystemD additive for better cleanage of your carbon deposit and injectors.
Use it with full tanks refilling and on alternate refills.
