Vaibhav, please start a new thread and list this issue there.

You have hijacked Shantanu's ownership thread.

Start a separate ownership review with more details about your car. The stock meter bulbs will make no difference. So, LED bulbs needs to be installed for better illumination. Call/SMS me on my number if you need any help.

I was willing to do some new DIY but due to financial reasons I was not willing to invest much. And also the old tyres were not matching the shiny body. So I decided to paint the tyres using matt black paint.
An year ago the same was done on my friend's car using normal nerolac paint.

And till date he has faced no problem regarding cracks, chipping paint etc.
Today I experimented the same on my car's spare tyre. I too am using the same nerolac paint.

This tyre will be tested for a week before I paint the other tyres.

Maybe I'm wrong, but solvents of paints may cause tyre deformation or failure..
I suggest you to wash them well, and when dry use black shoe polish cream..

And regarding the tyre painting I'll try to source rubber based black paint or laquor less paint. Else I'll polish the tyres as suggested by juandiazmora.

Dear all,
Please suggest should I keep the tyres without wheel covers
21102013109.jpg

Or should I fix the wheel covers too
21102013107.jpg

Should I paint the wheel caps ?? Will it look good
I was willing to paint something like this

This hub cap is painted by one of us TAIian Saubhagyab for his white i10.

I think white maruti looks better with clear colors rims, I suggest you to paint the wheel cover white or aluminium and the joints (red parts on the painted wheel cover you posted) black..

I used black shoe polish cream for floor covers inside the car and they look like new

@ Adil
You are just surprized [surprise]. After seeing the spare wheel painted, my dad was like [frustration][angry] So finally the rim/wheel cap painting is cancelled.

@ Juandiazmora Now I too have started realizing that stock color rims look best as compared to any red/black rim. So no rim or wheel cap will be painted. The black rim with tyres was looking good on ground but when it was fixed in the car, the car was looking badly maintained and weird.

And regarding painting of tyre walls, I sourced rubber based tyre paint and painted the tyres.

More clear pics will be posted soon.

Also installed a strip of sun film

Hmmm, Now I am not willing to do anything to the rims. Got enough scoldings for painting the stepney. Later I'll try to source type 2 rims or used alloys.

The fan consumes much less power as compared to the blower. The fan is used frequently due to humid weather and many a times when the car is parked near any food/tea stall with friends inside. The blower will drain the battery.
