Lovely.

I visited Rameshwaram in March end but could not get time to go to munnar. After watching these pics, I am regretting why the hell I could not take out some time.

You have a talent for taking pictures. Have you done any photography course?

I enjoyed your thread and would keep an eye on your future threads as well.

Don't worry, you will make it on another occasion eventually.[:)]

Wow !
No course but practice and keen observation ! I am part of a few quality photography forums including DPReview/Fredmiranda/NR etc and the learning from there is immense. Whenever I come across a quality picture, there is a thing or two to learn from it.

More importantly, one needs to devote some decent time to capture these beauties. I have had my bit for this season and am taking my break now.

Superb travelogue and pictures. [clap]
Glad that you liked the pictures [thumbsup]

Superb travelogue! Amazing beauty Munnar has. You reminded me of my trip there. [clap]

BTW, great pics. Specially you did some pretty amazing bird spotting. What's the camera and which lens are you using?

The other day I reached back home in Palakkad. Though gets hot at times, my town does have a charm of its own.

The End - the purpose of this thread has already been achieved, I am sure.[;)]

Dear manojodungat

I am amazed by yourself learned photographic skills and you have a great taste.

The shots are so clear and touching. I have become a member of the forum (JuzaPhoto) just because of you.

I need some guidance from you. I understand you use NIKON 610 & 810 cameras with 500 mm lenses.

I want to buy a good camera but not very expensive like yours. Please suggest / guide me, as I go for NIKON 3200 with 200mm lenses. My interest is portrait and wild life photography but prefer to avoid multiple lens kit. I can stretch the budget little more if you suggest some other model of Nikon but with 200mm lens at least.

Manual focus is the best choice for portrait and wild photography- am I right?

Thanks & Regards
Dr MUDHAN

I have narrow downed my choices like this.
Please advise me which one will be better?
Nikon D5200 DSLR with Dual Kit AF-S 18-55mm VRII + AF-S 55-200mm VRII Lens
Nikon D5200 with (18 - 140 mm VR DX Lens) DSLR Camera

Thanks Dr MUDHAN for the lovely comments. I prefer that forum as it hasn’t been yet cluttered with popularity conscious idiots. One gets to know what real photography is by just being observant and the trending images there really deserve to be there.

Get the 18-140 and start walking around with it shooting away what impresses you the most. Meanwhile, start learning what DSLR photography really is and how you can get the best out of your current Gear. 18-140 should be good enough for landscapes and people.

If you are genuinely at it, very soon you will realise what ‘specialised lens’ you would need for the area of your interest.

All the best !

Manoj

The 'Gap Road' had zero visibility, hence didn't stop there. Then soon I started the descend through what for me was the best of the hill views in the entire trip. Through the cloud cover the golden light diffused in and lit up the beautiful green hills at places giving it a dreamy feel.

Super location. I am planning to Munnar, Thekkadi, Ooty, Bandipur in October, 2016 for 5 days
Is it possible to travel by Zen car?
