Most Stolen cars in India.
1.According the annual press briefing by the Mumbai Police, about 1,540 four-wheelers were stolen in Mumbai in 2011. Of the 1,540 vehicles stolen during 2011, the Mahindra Scorpio seems to be thieves’ favourite, with 133 Scorpios being stolen. This is a decline of about 10 per cent from 148 Scorpios stolen in 2010.
2.About 67 Chevrolet Taveras were stolen in 2010 but there was a 58 per cent increase in 2011 when 106 cars were stolen.
3.Mahindra vehicles seem to be quite in demand by carjackers. 106 Mahindra Boleros were stolen during 2011, up 34 per cent from the 79 Boleros in 2010.

7.67 Tata Indicas saw were stolen in 2011 as opposed to 61 stolen in 2010.
8.Though no longer in production, the Maruti Esteem is still in demand with 58 cars being stolen in 2011.
9.Maruti may have stopped the production of the iconic 800, but 62 cars were stolen in 2011 and 57 in 2010.
10.There was a 10 per cent decline in thefts of taxi cabs in 2011 with 61 cars reported stolen as opposed to 68 that were reportedly stolen in 2010.
