@ Bharath Your friend is lucky mate! I myself bought a 2008 model in 2009 which clocked 23k on the ODO , i got it for 6Lakhs! Verna CRDI has very good re-sale value. I searched the used car market for several months for a Verna CRDI , i never came across anything lesser than 5.5Lakhs for a year old model.

2010 Verna diesel for 4.3 lakhs?
Unbelievable! I happened to search over 20+ major showrooms in chennai-3 months back to get a diesel Sedan and the demand was high, so as the price for one if available.
I am sure there is some correction needed here. [thinking]

Yea you are right kalyan. The correction is, its the petrol sedan. Now a days cars having diesel heart have huge demand.
