Mercedes Benz launches the C Class AMG Performance Edition @ INR 34.62 lakhs.

Mercedes Benz India today launched the C Class AMG Performance Edition. The car, which is a visual replica of the monstrous C63 AMG comes with a sticker price of INR 34.62 lakhs (ex showroom, Mumbai). The new Mercedes Benz comes just a few days after Audi S4 was launched in the country at Rs 45.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). This new version of the C Class comes with 17" AMG 5 twin spoke alloy wheels, perforated front brake discs, Mercedes Benz lettering on brake callipers, polished stainless steel tailpipe trim and a sport suspension. On the inside, the car getsa new upholstery, a redesigned dashborad with AMG steering wheel draped in nappa leather, gearknob, pedals, an instrument cluster featuring 3 analogue dials with tapered tube style surrounds & a high-resolution 4.50inch TFT color display. The floor mats now come in black with well pronounced AMG lettering gracing them.

Coming to the most important bit, the motor in the C Class AMG Performance Edition is the same that powers the C250 CDI. You just shot yourself at your foot in case u were flying high with hopes of an AMG engine at that price. All is not lost though, as said above, this version comes with a tuned suspension and offers a very well sorted handling package.

Mr. Debasis Mitra, Sales & Marketing Director at Mercedes-Benz India said that the new C Class AMG Performance Edition is all set to redefine its segment by offering high luxury and sportiness that comes from a AMG tuned car.

Agree with you, its high time that such luxury marques stops taking Indian customer's for ride.

Just for the body kit and the brand AMG, they expect customer's to pay premium

Nowadays they have targeted IT sector to promote their cars . Few days it was BMW and Audi Session rolling out here, i also got a chance to peak and enter into their interiors and seating it was well designed.
what more could you tell about Mercedes.

And everyone by seeing was expecting a drive inside the campus, ohh drive thinking , then the entire SAP productivity will be NULL on that day

The price difference between C Class Avantagarde & AMG Sports Pack is just Rs.70k !! In this you get adjustable suspension, which itself costs about Rs.2L !!
Forget rest, just for this suspension, it is worth buying this car.
And Audi S4 comes only in petrol, which is turn off for many.
Hope Mercedes launches something to compete BMW 640d.
