Membership Rewards System Explained

Members are backbone of The Automotive India. We strongly believe in rewarding those who’ve helped this community grow. This thread explains different kinds of membership rewards.

Likes System

The “Likes” feature is incorporated across different content types of the forum, including posts, conversations, albums etc.

It enables fellow users to appreciate a member for their useful content with click of a button (on bottom right of each post). Member whose content is liked instantly receives an alert.



Total likes received are showcased on user profile. You can view full list of likes received by you under user account popup as shown below.

Trophy System
​

Trophies are automatically won on certain occasions and by performing constructive actions on the forum. Each trophy has a corresponding point on basis of its significance. The full list of trophies along with points and details of when they’re won can be found on Help Page. We may include more trophies in future if required. Member receives an alert whenever they win a new trophy.

You can view list of trophies you’ve won by clicking Trophy Points in user account popup as shown below.



Trophies won by a particular user can be viewed by clicking on Trophy Points on their profile.​

Medal System
​

Members who actively support the community through high-value contribution are timely rewarded in form of Medals by the moderators. There are different medals available and more maybe included depending upon the type of contribution. You can view full list under Help Page along with users who've been awarded. The criteria for earning medals includes (but is not limited to):

• High quality contribution
• Active and enduring participation
• Consistent compliance to forum protocol

The official team members of The Automotive India will not be a part of Medals nomination. Furthermore:

• A member maybe awarded same medal twice or more over a period of time.
• Medals listed under “General Titles” are 10 Points each while those under “Special Titles” are 20 Points each.
• Use “Likes” to appreciate particular posts. This system is only to acknowledge consistent high-quality contribution.
• Those who continue to contribute exceptionally in long-term stand a chance to be promoted to Honored Membership.
• You may recommend us a member who you believe deserves a Medal through Contact form. Don't forget to include the reason.

Medals received by a member along with reason and date are listed in their profile under “Awarded Medals” tab.

Honored Membership Title
​

Apart from the membership ladder which relies on post count for user’s promotion, Honored Membership is a special title reserved only for selected few members who’ve a proven long-term track record of outstanding high-quality contribution in this community through various ways. Honored Members are handpicked by the core team based on several factors. Some of them include:

• An active and a long-term member.
• Shares very helpful content and is courteous across the forum.
• Always adheres to forum protocol and cooperates with moderators.
• Has no recent or long-term record of the infringement of forum rules.
• Set as a right example in the forum and respected by fellow members.
