Hi, I'm new to this forum. So please correct any mistakes if any. I'm now moving straight onto the topic.

My father has a 2009 model WagonR LXi. The default tyres were 145/60 R12 size. I initially thought of changing them as they were somewhat skinny for the tall boy. But somehow, I ended up running 40000kms in it. Now, the tyres have worn off and I want to change them. I wish for an upgrade to the maximum tyre size that can be used on the WagonR without changing the rims. The rims are the default size. And my WagonR is the old model, not the new blue eyed boy.

Need help please. Any suggestions.

i changed my old wagon r tyre to 165/55/r13 brigestones, which gave me a good ride. first it was the mrfs which although of the same proportions , used to scrape the side in highspeed cornerings. and the ridewith the mrf was abit bumpier than the bridgestones.

Is thee actually any 165/55?? Never heard of them.
There should be. I too have never heard of them. After your post, I checked on the net for the first time about the size. Now I find it bulging out. My mother is driving the car more than me. And she doesn't like fat tyres, even if they bulge out a bit.

Can anyone suggest the size just below 165/55 r13. It should be available easily.

155/65 r13 is the size that comes default on the VXi. So, I am sure that it will fit easily. So, I need a size between this and 165/55. Anyone?

I had gone for a Michelin 155/65 R13 when I replaced the stock JK tyres after 40000.

i think 165/65 r13 will scrape the body. even with 165/55/R13 mrf in my old maruti wgon r lxi there was scraping on the body in fast cornerings.

OK... So are you saying that I need a size below that. And could you please recommend a size too. 155/65 R14 is the default size on the VXi.

And BTW, what speed do you mean by fast cornerings?

@ rahul s

Yeah, you are correct. Its 145/70 r13.
