recently i have clocked 140kmph

Had a empty stretch of highway.
Had seat belts!
Tested the braking pressure needed at 100kmph without locking tyres
I should appreciate that was immense .
When speeds got lower to 60 and lowering i got immense grip and can press more because whole weight transferring to front wheel and stopped like a flash.
Then still no one till 2kms.
Raised the rpm to 3500k where all max power is produced, released slowly for a small movement on wheels then bang"! Within secs i needed to shift to
2nd at 5k rpm till 60kmph
3rd at 5k rpm till 119kmph
4th at 5k rpm till 140kmph
Then i don't want to go more because i still had fifth gear and it was a new car so maintained at 140 in fourth and i was shocked to see instant mileage value
14.4kmpl .. :o
Then i was just cruising.. Relaxed with little roar. No wobbling or shaking..
Have attached a picture ..managed to take be cause its dangerous to do..

Re: recently i have clocked 140kmph

Mr.Prakritij
I have already read your review and have quoted some issues as in my car too and also replied with remedies which we can do further
I purchased from
CAR HID KIT High Intensity Discharge KIT Xenon White Light H7 Bulbs 6000K | eBay
Where it got no warranty.. But product is cool.
Its good auto shop in delhi.
Better buy Philips kit. In your town. plenty are there.
Thanks bro. I think the Philips kit will cost upwards of Rs.8000.
At present the low beams do there job perfectly. so much good that I really thought there were HID bulbs behind the projectors.

bro, I can see you have installed green LEDs inside the grill. Can the grill be opened and lights be fixed inside? if yes how? any pics?
I wanted to paint/sticker the chrome part(inside the chrome bar) while retaining the outside transparent plastic. Please help
Thanks

grill can be opened, but it needs specific tools such as heat torch, and some solvents, if doing so please take to good mechanic or modifying shops,
tools are needed so that the glue between plastics will be melted and can be opened(as like headlight)
if you are painting it(i wont recommend because the stingray uniqueness is the grill)
but by seeing your idea i got a method
stick any color tinted film(transparent),will be good and maintains the grill effect too!!

leds inside grill will not illuminate grill !!
you must keep leds facing grill so it reflects and seems grill is glowing
actually if you see closely the bottom floor part of the grill will be having rough surface to distract light in various directions so you can see even light (not dot dot led)

what i did is, there was a quarter inch gap in top of the grill outside(under bonnet)
you can place a good quality led strip over it, so as it directly falls over the rough surface at the bottom of the grill and scatters fully to the grill

things to know before you install anything over grill:
the geometry of the grill is designed by Suzuki in japan(not Indian team).
the grill is designed so as the sunlight falls over the rough surface and
the reflector inside is actually facing in a slope angle towards that rough surface where it reflects towards the front

also the grill is designed to reflect on coming traffic high beam directly where the light was coming so opposite guy will dim[:)]

i am not satisfied with led because it still not up-to the mark
i have planned to fabricate a neon tube with white or red color
(don't think i am going to make something big)
i think you know the sign boards of shops have neon tubes to mark their name,
also it works on 12v
so i will order a tube with length equal to the grill and will place as it was instead of led
And i will mount it with rubber straps to hold tightly to grill(all under bonnet)

i have attached pictures of current led mod:
hope my info helps

Thank You bro for the info. I was in the impression that the grill can be easily opened with screwdriver etc.
I didn't knew about he design philosophy of the grill.

nothing for tyre as of now.
I just use the Amway car wash shampoo mixed with water after washing the whole car to wash the side walls of the tyres. once dry, I dilute some dashboard polish with water and apply on the side walls with a piece of cloth.

I RECENTLY POLISHED MY BONNET USING LOCAL WAX PRODUCT SO CALLED
MOTO MAX

I FOUND GOOD RESULTS
BUT STILL I JUST DID WAX
SO I CANT EXPECT EXTREME RESULTS

WHAT I DID
*took picture[glasses]
* washed with car shampoo
*dried for 5 mins
*applied wax (thin layer)
*after 20 minutes i removed using soft cloth(cotton)do not use woolen materials because it seems to remove extra wax but not some residue left by wax.
*took picture[:D]

what i should have done (going to do for rest of my car)
products to buy:
1)buffer:
Techno Tronics Yiking Car Polisher - Buy Car Care & Fresheners Products Online | Snapdeal.com
or
www.snapdeal.com/product/coido-original-car-polisher-6015/1587266086/viewEnlarge?imageIndex=1

2)rubbing compound !

Meguiar's ultimate Compound

3)wax or sealent

Meguiar's carnauba wax or sealant

4)meguiars quik detailer

5)4 micro fiber cloth

method:
1) wash
2) use rubbing compound to remove swrills
3) clean surface with cloth #1
4) use new pad for applying wax (less quantity)to apply thin layer
5) after 20 minutes clean wax #cloth 2
6) apply quick detailer

thats it !!

Congratulations stingray91. Wishing happy and safe miles ahead.

We have first generation WagonR. My dad is using that. Engaging to second gear from 1st or 3rd is little hard. Sometimes engaging to Reverse also little hard. What about in Stingray?

About gear box issue in model 1 waggy

It may be due to gear synchronizer worn out
Or
Gear linkage could have lose connection
Have u taken waggy to SERVICE station??

My stingray just clocked 5k kms
So as of now i cant say any issue ,
its silky smooth ,its cable operated gear box!so no issue of synchro worn

If its a synchro issue try to give a pump in throttle by keeping pressure towards gear if it works keep working till you find correct slack., also check if clutch is in proper setting. It may be also due to that

Ask mechanic to correct the gear linkage if its the issue., if synchro is issue then u need to change new synchro but it will be costly , else swap a gearbox from old market. Will be easier way
